Adjust temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Retrieve food from freezers and thaw it in refrigerators. Portion and plate food appropriately. Maintain food records. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate support needs during peak periods. Inform the chef of leftover ingredients for use in daily changing menus. Notify food and beverage service staff of special or out-of-stock menu items. Ensure food quality. Cook in accordance with recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and cooking checklists. Prepare cold foods. Assist management in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous work conditions to managers. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional. Anticipate and respond to guests’ service needs; communicate clearly and professionally with others. Listen to fellow employees’ concerns and respond appropriately; ensure expected quality and standards are consistently upheld. Frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, pull, squat, and reach overhead and below knee level. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors. Additional appropriate duties may be required as requested by superiors. Preferred Qualifications Education: Degree from a technical, trade, or vocational school. Related Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: None.
