Preparation of ingredients required for cooking (portioning, dicing, storage, etc.)
Washing and peeling fresh vegetables and fruits; measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
Preparing and cooking food in accordance with recipes, quality standards, plating standards, and food preparation checklists; preparing cold foods
Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Conducting tests to verify that food is cooked thoroughly
Monitoring food quality during preparation
Preparing and cleaning the work area
Plating appropriate portions of food into suitable containers
Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
Ensuring equipment and food temperatures are appropriate.
Comply fully with company policies and procedures regarding safety and security; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to managers; complete safety training and certification.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; safeguard confidential information; protect company assets.
Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team efforts toward achieving common goals; listen attentively to colleagues’ concerns and respond appropriately.
Strictly adhere to quality expectations and standards.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or throughout entire shifts.
Reach overhead and below knee level; bend, twist, pull, push, and squat.
Lift, carry, move, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.
