




Job Summary: We are seeking a chef to develop and prepare menus featuring traditional and modern Moroccan cuisine, manage inventory, and supervise hygiene and sanitation practices. Stock control and supervision of hygiene and sanitation standards We are looking for a chef for a restaurant in Níjar, Almería, offering a permanent discontinuous full-time employment contract. Duties include preparing and designing menus based on traditional and modern Moroccan cuisine, with absolute proficiency in seasoning techniques, use of specific spices such as Ras el hanout or orange blossom water, and cooking using traditional supports. The role also entails managing stock of raw materials and imported North African ingredients, as well as supervising hygiene and sanitation standards and food handling practices. Required qualifications include a Technical Diploma in Cooking and Gastronomy, an equivalent professional certification, or accredited specialized training in Moroccan or Maghrebi gastronomy—including traditional culinary techniques such as tagines, traditional couscous, and North African artisanal pastry. A minimum of 36 months of verifiable experience in similar positions is mandatory, preferably in restaurants specializing in high-end Arabic or Mediterranean-Moroccan cuisine, to be substantiated via employment history records or letters of recommendation. Working hours will be 40 hours per week on a split shift schedule, with a monthly salary of 1\.425 euros.
