Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an Integration Architect with end-to-end vision and technical decision-making capability to define, evolve, and govern corporate integrations within the People-Tech/HR domain, in an international and demanding environment. Key Highlights: 1. Influence platform, governance, and interoperability decisions at a global level 2. Technical leadership in end-to-end strategic integrations 3. Work with cutting-edge technologies such as MuleSoft and Kafka DESCRIPTION At SG Tech, we drive technological evolution for organizations by connecting business, data, and technology through a flexible, agile, and impact-oriented approach. With over 25 years of experience, we develop tailored solutions and champion talent, continuous learning, and professional growth within highly demanding technical environments. Our work model combines specialization, proximity, and adaptability to support complex digital transformation challenges from start to finish. We are looking for an Integration Architecture profile with end\-to\-end vision and strong technical decision-making ability to define, evolve, and govern corporate integrations within the People\-Tech / HR domain. This position targets professionals with proven experience in architectural design—not merely implementation—who can establish integration standards, evaluate technical trade\-offs, and ensure that integration flows comply with security, traceability, and data protection requirements in enterprise contexts. The selected candidate will operate in an English-speaking international environment, collaborating closely with product, platform, HR tech specialist teams, and consuming squads. They will play a key role in defining synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns, designing API\-first and event\-driven architectures, providing technical governance for the domain, and evolving a scalable, observable, and secure architecture built on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Key responsibilities include designing integration architectures on MuleSoft; defining OpenAPI 3\.x and AsyncAPI 2\.x contracts; providing technical leadership for end\-to\-end strategic integrations; implementing observability and security standards; documenting architectural decisions via ADRs and diagrams; and mentoring junior profiles on integration best practices and API design. The candidate will also play a significant role in coordinating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions, facilitate consensus, and ensure compliance with HR data protection policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an architecturally senior profile seeking to influence platform, governance, and interoperability decisions within a global, demanding, and functionally complex context. At SG Tech, we especially value individuals who combine sound technical judgment, effective communication skills, and a focus on building robust, sustainable, and scalable solutions. REQUIREMENTS **Mandatory** * Minimum 7 years’ experience in enterprise integration architecture, iPaaS, or equivalent roles. * At least 4 years’ hands\-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in production environments. * Demonstrable production experience with Kafka or another event broker, with architectural judgment for designing asynchronous solutions. * Proven track record as an integration architect, capable of making design decisions and defending technical trade\-offs. * Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and its core components: Anypoint Studio, Exchange, Connectors, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and CloudHub. * Solid experience with DataWeave 2\.x for complex transformations. * Designing and consuming RAML and OpenAPI specifications within MuleSoft flows. * In-depth knowledge of error-handling, retry, and circuit breaker patterns in Mule flows. * Mastery of Enterprise Integration Patterns and ability to apply them judiciously in enterprise architectures. * Experience with iPaaS, ESB, and event\-driven architectures. * Practical knowledge of saga, outbox pattern, basic CQRS, idempotency keys, dead\-letter queues, exponential backoff retries, timeout, fallback, and bulkhead. * Production experience with Apache Kafka: producer/consumer APIs, partitioning, consumer groups, offset management, and exactly\-once semantics. * Knowledge of schema registry and contract evolution using Avro or Protobuf. * Ability to design asynchronous patterns such as pub/sub, fan\-out, asynchronous request/reply, and choreography. * Judgment to choose between at\-least\-once and exactly\-once delivery based on use case. * Experience managing back\-pressure, event replay, and resilience strategies in integrations. * API\-first approach as a team practice. * Proficiency in OpenAPI 3\.x for REST and AsyncAPI 2\.x for asynchronous events. * Experience with contract\-first design, mock servers, and contract validation in CI pipelines. * Knowledge of API versioning and deprecation policies. * Ability to correctly explain and apply the distinction between API governance and API management. * Strong REST design skills, including idempotency, error handling, and alignment with RFC 7807\. * Knowledge of SOAP in enterprise integration scenarios. * Familiarity with SCIM for identity provisioning. * Experience with SSO/SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC for inter-system authentication. * Knowledge of mTLS between services and secrets management solutions such as Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or equivalents. * Experience applying GDPR to HR data: data minimization, purpose limitation, retention, and the right to erasure. * Understanding of data classification, data lineage, and PII protection in logs and messages via masking or tokenization. * Experience with integration observability: distributed tracing, structured logging, correlation IDs, latency/throughput/error rate metrics, SLO-based alerts, and production dashboards. * Regular practice with ADRs and architectural documentation. * Ability to work with C4, ArchiMate, data\-flow, and sequence diagrams—selecting the appropriate format per context. * Experience with RACI models and change management processes for critical integrations. * **English level C1\.** **Desirable** * Familiarity with the Workday ecosystem, particularly in People\-Tech / HR contexts. * Experience with Workday HCM and its data model. * Experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio. * Knowledge of Workday Prism Analytics and Workday Extend. * Familiarity with native Workday SOAP and REST APIs. * Cloud AWS experience applied to integration: API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Step Functions, IAM, Secrets Manager, and KMS. * Experience with MSK or equivalent managed Kafka services. * Knowledge of serverless patterns applied to integration. * Functional understanding of the HR domain: employee lifecycle, payroll, benefits, time tracking, compensation, and HRIS. * Experience with SCIM provisioning and identity management in HR contexts. * Knowledge of European HR regulatory compliance. * Certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
