Process all room reservations, requests, modifications, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email. Identify guests’ reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type. Verify room type availability and rate. Explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers. Handle and document special requests. Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, as well as room accommodations. Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue. Enter and access data in the reservation system. Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by correctly entering the code and rate into the reservation system. Follow escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns. Comply with company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; safeguard guest and colleague privacy and security. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist guests with disabilities. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer phones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen to and appropriately respond to concerns raised by fellow employees. Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
