Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with hybrid office-and-field experience to lead the full electrical infrastructure lifecycle for energy storage projects. Key Highlights: 1. Hybrid office-field role in electrical project engineering. 2. Leadership in commissioning and startup of electrical systems. 3. Detailed engineering development for LV/MV installations. ### **About Us** The latent change at the heart of renewable energy: your talent. At Worldwide Recruitment Energy, a recruitment consultancy specialising in the renewable energy sector, we have successfully connected hundreds of professionals with a wide range of companies around the world. With offices in Spain, Italy, France, Mexico and Brazil, we lead the sector in attracting talent for Investment Funds, Portfolio Companies, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Developers, Consultancies, Utilities, Equipment Manufacturers, EPC Contractors and O\&M Companies in Solar PV, Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, Biomass, Hydro, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage and Hydrogen. ### **Responsibilities** **About the Company** A rapidly growing technology and industrial company based in Zaragoza (current team of 20 professionals covering technical management, chemistry, energy, commercial, operations, and technological advisors). The company specialises in the design, manufacturing, and integration of advanced electrical energy storage systems (BESS), pioneering proprietary solutions based on vanadium redox flow and lithium technologies. **Role Mission** Reporting directly to the **Technical Director**, the Electrical Project Engineer will assume end-to-end responsibility for the electrical infrastructure of energy storage projects. We seek a hybrid profile with "boots-on-the-ground" experience — equally comfortable performing detailed engineering in the office and delivering technical deployment and on-site problem-solving during critical phases ("getting down in the mud"). Main Responsibilities * **Electrical Engineering and Design (80% Office):** + Development of detailed engineering for installations (LV/MV). + Sizing of critical equipment (inverters, transformers, power systems), single-line diagrams, and protection definitions. + Design of assembly drawings, layouts, cable routing, and electrical panels using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. + Analysis and optimisation of designs to improve system efficiency and reliability. * **Project and Supplier Management:** + Technical liaison and direct negotiation with suppliers of electrical components. + Autonomous oversight of assigned project execution. * **Deployment and Commissioning (20% Field):** + On-site coordination and supervision of electrical installation teams. + Leadership during commissioning (*Commissioning*) and startup of electrical and control systems. + Development and execution of FAT/SAT test protocols for functional validation of installations. + Integration of power systems with battery management systems (BMS/EMS). ### **Requirements** * **Education:** Industrial Engineering (Electrical specialisation), Higher Technical Degree in Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics or equivalent. **Experience:** Minimum 5 years’ experience in detailed engineering development and commissioning of industrial plants, preferably within the energy sector (generation or BESS storage). * **Specific Knowledge:** Prior experience or strong knowledge of energy storage systems (lithium batteries or, ideally, vanadium flow technology), inverters, and transformers is highly valued. * **Languages:** Fluent/advanced English (mandatory for international projects). * **Soft Skills:** High autonomy, ability to lead teams, proactivity, clear orientation toward on-site problem solving, and strong motivation to continuously learn in a rapidly evolving sector. **Others:** Willingness to work onsite in Zaragoza, valid driving licence B1, and full availability for travel (including on-site assignments of up to 3 weeks during commissioning phases). **What We Offer** * **Unique Work-Life Balance Schedule:** Genuine compressed working hours of **07:00–15:00** (entire afternoons free). * **Remote Work:** Predominantly office-based model with one day per week remote work dedicated to design tasks. * **Employment Contract:** Permanent, stable contract with a leading company in sustainability and energy storage. * **Career Development:** Technical career path with long-term prospects to assume Technical Management responsibilities and participate in commercial activities.
