We’re back in full force with plenty of theater—and more enthusiasm than ever—to share this wonderful art form with you. Pure theater, accessible to everyone! This course aims to foster the discovery and practice of actors’ creative habits among students. We will review all previously learned material (actor training techniques, body, voice, emotional palette, improvisation, unlocking exercises, etc.) before diving deeply into work on cinematic and theatrical scenes. Through hands-on practice, students will learn how to work on a cinematic sequence and a theatrical scene. They will face challenges involving character and scene creation, tailored to each student’s individual growth needs. Students will be assigned increasingly complex characters and situations, always focusing on improving and advancing their interpretive skills. Character and text analysis across various genres will be thoroughly practiced, culminating in scene presentations. Greater emphasis will be placed on both individual and group work to enhance acting abilities. All of this will be interspersed with practical classes and actor training sessions, enabling students to immediately apply newly acquired knowledge to their scenes and pursue a more comprehensive approach to their craft. Prior theater experience is required for this group. Don’t worry if few people have signed up via Meetup—the activity will proceed as scheduled, since we have additional registrants from other sources. The ONLY ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT FOR ATTENDANCE is that you contact us so we can CONFIRM YOUR SPOT. Without our confirmation, you will not be permitted to attend the event.
