Description
At **OCA Global**, our fundamental purpose is to build a safer, more efficient, and sustainable environment. We believe urban transformation does not only change cities—but also the lives of the people who inhabit them.
We are seeking a **Technical Civil Engineer (ITOP) or Technical Architect**, with vision, rigor, and passion for urban development, to join as **Assistant Project Manager** on one of Barcelona’s most iconic infrastructure projects—working directly from **BIMSA**’s facilities.
Here, you will not be just another number: you will actively become part of a multidisciplinary team comprising a Project Manager and two Assistants, where your technical judgment and operational leadership will leave a real mark on the urban landscape.
#### **Your Purpose-Driven and Impactful Responsibilities**
How will your daily work contribute to our purpose?
* **Supervise and manage the Urban Development Construction Management team:** You will coordinate on-site operational phases to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and timely execution—gaining strategic visibility with institutional clients.
* **Integrate into and support the project’s executive team:** You will work side-by-side with the Project Manager and Assistant team, contributing your expertise to resolve technical contingencies and optimize decision-making.
* **Direct liaison at BIMSA offices:** You will represent OCA Global and interact daily in Catalan with various project stakeholders, strengthening alliances and ensuring seamless communication within the municipal ecosystem.
* **Cost, schedule, and regulatory compliance control:** You will uphold rigor in certifications and proper application of regulations, ensuring every transformed square meter meets required environmental and infrastructural standards.
#### **What We’d Like to See in Your Profile**
* **Relevant degrees:** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Technical Civil Engineering (ITOP), Technical Architecture, or Building Engineering.
* **Solid professional track record:** Minimum **5 years of accumulated experience** in Construction Management for **urban development projects**, preferably within Barcelona city or its metropolitan area.
* **Language proficiency:** Fluent **Catalan** (spoken and written), as it will be your primary working language during technical and management meetings at BIMSA.
* **Availability for immediate onboarding:** Due to the scale and significance of this project, you must be able to join the team as soon as possible.
* **Collaborative and proactive mindset:** Ability to work effectively in dynamic construction and public-sector management environments.
#### **Why Join Our Project?**
* **Impact and prestige:** You will be part of a benchmark project in the City of Barcelona, led by a global leader in inspection, certification, and project management.
* **Team culture:** You will integrate into a cohesive technical team where mutual support, internal mentoring, and accelerated learning are guaranteed.
* **Top-tier work-life balance and wellbeing:** We firmly believe rest and disconnection are essential to performing at peak levels. Therefore, you will enjoy a carefully designed work schedule:
+ **Standard working hours:** Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
+ **Intensive schedule:** Every **Friday**, every **eve of a public holiday**, and **all days in July and August**, in continuous hours from **8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.**
+ **Family-oriented holidays:** **December 24 and 31 are paid days off** for the entire team.
