We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have experience building modern APIs with **FastAPI**, managing **PostgreSQL** databases, and optimizing systems oriented toward performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with other engineering, product, and data teams to build efficient backend solutions supporting high traffic volumes and continuous growth. Key areas of work we expect you to develop and strengthen at Orbidi: * Design, develop, and maintain **RESTful APIs** using **FastAPI**. * Define and evolve scalable and maintainable backend architectures. * Implement and optimize **endpoints** focused on performance, security, and reliability. * Design and maintain database schemas in **PostgreSQL** (modeling, indexes, migrations). * Optimize SQL queries and data flows for high performance. * Implement authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms. * Write clean, testable, and well-documented code. * Implement unit tests and automated integrations. * Participate in code reviews and technical decision-making. * Monitor and improve system performance (latency, throughput, errors). * Collaborate on deployments and infrastructure improvements oriented toward scalability.
