We are looking for a Big Data specialist on AWS to participate in the management and evolution of data infrastructures, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of services. This position is based in Madrid under a hybrid work model, with some days worked remotely from home and others in the office, where you can build meaningful synergies with your team. It is mandatory to reside in Spain and hold a valid work permit in Spain. Responsibilities: * Manage and operate Big Data infrastructures on AWS, including clusters and associated services such as Amazon Redshift. * Implement and maintain data pipelines, ensuring environment availability, security, and performance. * Monitor systems and resolve incidents to guarantee SLA and service-level compliance. * Identify and implement technical improvements in data platforms to optimize costs and performance. Accountabilities: * Administer data environments on AWS using services such as Redshift and Big Data frameworks, ensuring high availability. * Design and optimize data ingestion, storage, and processing workflows. * Coordinate with business and technology teams to ensure proper delivery of data services. * Apply best practices for security, governance, and compliance in cloud environments. * Evaluate new AWS solutions and services to enhance the existing architecture. Mandatory Requirements: * Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with AWS Big Data. * Minimum 2 years of experience with Amazon Redshift in production environments. * Minimum 2 years of experience in infrastructure- or data-related roles. * University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields. Desirable Requirements: * Experience with Amazon EMR for at least 1 year. * Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis. * Minimum 1 year of experience working with cloud computing concepts. * Initial experience (at least 6 months) with scripting languages such as Python or Bash. * Minimum 1 year applying problem-solving techniques in technology environments.
