For new projects in the metal casting and metal transformation sector, we require an **Environmental Manager in Burgos.** **Responsibilities** * Lead environmental management at the foundry plant, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations applicable to metallurgical and metal transformation processes. * Supervise and control atmospheric emissions from melting furnaces, molding processes, and surface finishing operations, ensuring adherence to established emission limits. * Manage industrial effluents generated during casting, machining, and surface treatment processes, including monitoring of wastewater and purification systems. * Oversee proper management of industrial waste specific to the metal sector: slags, molding sands, metallic sludges, cutting oils, and hazardous waste. * Prepare and maintain up-to-date environmental monitoring reports: energy consumption, emissions, effluents, leaks, and process losses. * Plan and conduct internal inspections and audits in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and, where applicable, ISO 50001; act as the liaison with environmental authorities and external auditors. * Manage the facility’s environmental authorizations (AAI/AAU) and coordinate communications with the competent regulatory authority. * Design and deliver internal environmental training, promoting best practices across production, maintenance, and logistics departments. * Define, monitor, and report plant-level environmental KPIs to management, proposing continuous improvement plans. * Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality departments to implement measures reducing environmental impact in manufacturing processes. **Requirements** * University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental compliance or management within an industrial setting, preferably in metal casting, steelmaking, metal transformation, or heavy industry. * Experience managing Integrated Environmental Authorizations (AAI) or equivalent. * Demonstrable experience conducting ISO 14001 environmental management system audits. **Tools** * Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations, particularly in the industrial sector. **Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Teamwork, planning, continuous improvement, and communication. * Ability to work under pressure. **Languages** * English level B2, desirable. **Workplace** * Burgos.
