DESCRIPTION ALEGRIA Hotels is looking to incorporate a Restaurant Waiter/Waitress into its team. We are seeking someone with a proactive attitude, strong teamwork ability, and a firm commitment to service quality and guest satisfaction. **Main responsibilities:** * **Table service:** Accurately and diligently take beverage orders and serve them efficiently and professionally. Advise guests on the gastronomic offerings and daily specialties. * **Buffet management:** Continuously replenish buffet items to ensure their availability and immaculate presentation throughout service hours. Keep the buffet area clean and orderly at all times. * **Customer service:** Greet and seat guests at assigned tables, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Respond promptly, courteously, and efficiently to guest requests and needs. * **Hygiene and cleaning:** Maintain strict personal and workplace hygiene standards, complying with current health regulations. Thoroughly clean and disinfect tables, chairs, utensils, and other dining room areas. * **Dining room preparation:** Set up tables before, during, and after service (setup, breakdown, cleaning of tableware, glassware, and cutlery). * **Collaboration:** Work closely with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth service operations and maximum guest satisfaction. * **Incident resolution:** Handle and resolve potential guest incidents or complaints professionally, always seeking the best possible solution. * **Stock control:** Assist in monitoring stock levels of tableware, linens, and other items required for restaurant service. * **Showcooking:** Support and participate in the showcooking activities, interacting with guests and explaining dish preparation processes. * **Compliance with regulations:** Adhere to ALEGRIA Hotels’ policies and procedures, as well as labor, safety, and hygiene regulations. REQUIREMENTS * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience in similar positions as a restaurant waiter/waitress in hotels, restaurants, or high-turnover hospitality establishments. * **Knowledge:** Familiarity with buffet and showcooking service. * **Skills:** Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and in high-demand environments. * **Languages:** Knowledge of additional languages (English, French, etc.) will be considered a plus. * **Attitude:** Positive, proactive attitude with strong service orientation and ability to work effectively in a team. * **Organization:** Organized, methodical individual with keen attention to detail. * **Availability:** Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
