Description
Hello!
I'm Leyre, the recruiter for this position. I love writing and reading horror stories, but what I enjoy most is a good family meal with the people I love the most. If you love seventies and eighties music as much as I do, we’ll definitely connect!
Perhaps this is the tenth opportunity you’ve read today—while lounging on the sofa with Netflix playing in the background, or amid a period of personal change… and they all seem the same to you.
Let me be clear: at Zurich, we’re not perfect—but we’re pretty awesome! And if you’d like to know why, keep reading.
First and foremost, THANK YOU for your interest in our company. We know that searching for new opportunities can be challenging—but don’t worry: everything comes in due time!
**Let’s get straight to the point!** I’ll summarize our DNA in two key points:
* + We love volunteering—but we prefer to **be activists for change**. How? By focusing on young people at risk of social exclusion or fighting climate change through actions such as reforesting forests in Madrid and Doñana National Park. In 2025, we contributed over 28\.000 hours of activism.
+ At Zurich, we say it loud and clear: we’re proud of our colors and believe that diverse teams make a real difference. Here, we don’t talk about disability—we talk about ability. **Being your authentic self is our top priority**, with no closets standing between us and no glass ceilings. 50% of our leadership positions are held by women (including the Executive Committee). Did you know we produce our own podcasts on sexual identity? We’re building a company where everyone is welcome.
**You might be wondering: Leyre, what will my day-to-day look like wearing the blue jersey? I love that you’re asking this question (I asked it myself, back then):**
* + You’ll analyze and submit reports to Market Teams to ensure proper business management.
+ You’ll manage certain distribution agreements with other insurance companies—including follow-up, campaigns, and incident resolution.
+ You’ll contact internal commercial teams or agents by phone.
+ You’ll participate in the development of Zurich’s corporate websites for insurance agents (incident support, weekly IT meetings, rollout of improvements, status reporting, sessions, etc.).
+ You’ll provide CRM support via weekly incident reports involving suppliers and agents (managing improvements, incidents, and working with Salesforce).
**By now, you’re probably wondering: how do I know if I’m a good fit?**
Don’t worry—I won’t ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements. We believe you could be a great fit if:
* + You’re interested in business analysis and digital transformation.
+ You bring advanced administrative knowledge, MS Excel proficiency, and database management skills.
+ You possess decision-making ability and analytical capacity regarding organizations and their dynamic environments.
+ You demonstrate commitment, motivation, and eagerness to learn. Proactivity, autonomy, and creativity will be your greatest allies.
+ Prior experience in the insurance and/or banking sector is not mandatory—but it’s a highly welcome plus.
+ Collaborative work tools motivate you (e.g., Jira, Teams, Slack, etc.).
+ We’re a global and international company, so English will be a major asset in your daily work (a C1 level is desirable).
**Are you interested? We’re eager to meet you—but first, here’s what you need to know…**
* + A collaboration agreement with a university and/or business school of at least six months’ duration is required, with possible extension.
+ We’re constantly growing—and if this works out, we’d love to have you on board!
+ Part-time schedule (5 hours/day, Monday to Friday).
+ The position is based at our Barcelona offices… though we’d like to mention that we offer an 80% remote work policy!
+ This is a remunerated internship offering €800.
+ Additionally, you’ll have access to training—and much more!
Right now, you’re either feeling the excitement of finding the perfect pair of pants—or thinking: “This isn’t for me.” (If it’s not for you, that’s perfectly fine—we’ll surely cross paths again in the future.) Feel free to play matchmaker and share my contact details with anyone you think might be a good fit.
If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU for reading. What did you think? Are we awesome—or not? If you felt butterflies in your stomach and believe we’re a match, send up smoke signals—or your CV, if smoke isn’t your thing.
And finally—would you like to hear what others at Zurich have to say? I’d tell you that we continue ranking among the Top Employers Spain as our calling card—but I encourage you to check out our Glassdoor profile so they can tell you themselves. No tricks, no gimmicks.
I hope to meet you very soon.
