Job Summary: Ingeteam is seeking a Power Hardware Engineer for the design, validation, and industrialization of power converters, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Highlights: 1. Contribution to the energy model transition Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, seeks to incorporate a Power Hardware Engineer into its Zamudio Technology Area for Converters \& Controls. Main responsibilities will include: * Specifying requirements, designing, and validating power converters * Sizing power components and designing PCBs * Collaborating on thermal, EMC, and mechanical design to integrate environmental requirements * Liaising with suppliers for component design * Collaborating with systems and embedded software teams * Commissioning and characterizing prototypes * Verifying and validating designs; characterizing performance and operational margins * Industrializing new technologies and solutions * Collaborating with manufacturing teams and the supply chain to deliver mature products to production Requirements: * Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with strong knowledge of Power Electronics * Minimum English level B2 * Experience in designing high-performance DC/DC and DC/AC power converters: Design, tuning, and testing of isolated and non-isolated high-frequency converters; Full lifecycle of power equipment—from schematics to component design, documentation, supplier communication, and prototype creation; Modeling and dynamic system analysis; Research and development of technology from concept to implementation; Real-time simulations using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice; Gate driver specification for converters * Knowledge of: high-frequency energy conversion or power distribution system design and analysis, including power electronics topology analysis, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies * Safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements * Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and quality- and results-oriented mindset Preferred qualifications: * Prior experience in a similar role * Communication, planning, and problem-solving skills * Additional languages We offer: * Opportunity to join an innovative, industry-leading organization in Power Electronics, contributing directly to the energy model transition and impacting triple sustainability (social, environmental, and economic) * Flexible working hours and other work-life balance facilities * Compensation aligned with the candidate’s experience * Permanent employment contract * Integration into a young, dynamic, and technologically advanced team At Ingeteam, we value diversity and support the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
