Responsibilities: Assist in the successful implementation of assigned project(s) within the Labour Migration and Social Inclusion Unit.
Assist in delivering trainings using a protection-based approach on topics related to vulnerabilities, protection, and risk factors affecting migrants, grounded in normative frameworks, standards, guidelines, IOM’s institutional protection policies, as well as good practices in humanitarian and migration contexts.
Support the design of training content to be delivered under the assigned project, aligned with IOM’s protection mainstreaming approach.
Assist in developing and delivering capacity-building activities on protection to strengthen the project team’s capacities, as well as provide technical guidance to cultural mediators in the field, promoting cross-cutting integration of the protection mainstreaming approach and adherence to IOM’s protection principles across all interventions.
Support monitoring updates on border procedures and the set of actions outlined in the European Pact on Migration and Asylum.
Support technical monitoring, preparation, and updating of the project database, including tracking tables, preparation of periodic progress reports on the assigned project(s), and compliance with the Results Matrix.
Support financial monitoring and expenditure planning in collaboration with the project focal point and finance department, periodically reviewing progress and budget utilization of the assigned project in accordance with IOM and donor rules and regulations.
Assist in identifying new initiatives and support drafting Concept Notes and Project Documents in the Department’s thematic areas.
Undertake field travel, as required by the assigned project.

Qualifications: Required qualifications and experience
Education
University degree, preferably related to the functions and responsibilities to be performed — e.g., Law, Political Science, Social Sciences — and at least one year of relevant professional experience.
Or, a high school diploma / higher vocational qualification, with at least three years of relevant professional experience.
Specialization (e.g., master’s degree, training courses, etc.) in migration, human rights, international cooperation, and/or project management will be considered an asset.
Experience
Proven experience in project implementation and management.
Experience in technical and financial monitoring of projects and preparation of justification reports.
Proven experience in designing and delivering theoretical\-practical trainings (participatory methodology and practical case studies) to diverse groups, both in-person and virtually.
Experience in participatory methodology and practical case studies.
Experience working with migrant populations and in protection (e.g., vulnerable migrants, migrant children) and with public administration actors (local, regional, and national governments).
Demonstrated knowledge of national and international legal frameworks on protection and migration.
Excellent knowledge of information technologies and Microsoft Office 365 applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).

Languages
Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
Knowledge of other UN languages is considered an asset.
