We are seeking a Chief Engineer to technically lead one of our strategic programs in the aerospace and defense domain. The selected candidate will assume global technical responsibility for the H145M program, ensuring the balance among performance, risks, industrialization, cost, and schedule throughout the product lifecycle. **Location:** Torrejón de Ardoz What will you do? * Technically lead the program, acting as the highest engineering authority and technical reference point for customers, partners, and internal teams. * Ensure the definition, integration, and evolution of the system architecture and its major subsystems. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment, fostering collaboration among Engineering, Program Management, Production, Quality, Procurement, and ISS. * Guarantee proper traceability and compliance with technical, regulatory, safety, and certification requirements. * Lead technical reviews, configuration management processes, change control, and resolution of critical issues. * Manage technical risks and define mitigation plans to ensure the technological and industrial maturity of solutions. * Contribute to the program’s technical planning by defining milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria. * Represent the project’s technical position before customers, certification authorities, strategic partners, and suppliers. * Drive effective integration of hardware, software, embedded systems, and industrialization technologies. What are we looking for in you? **✅ Education:** Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. **✅ Minimum Experience:** Proven experience in technical leadership of complex engineering programs, preferably within the Aerospace, Defense, or critical systems sectors. **✅ Technical Knowledge:** * Systems engineering and architecture of complex systems. * Integration of multidisciplinary systems. * Product lifecycle management. * Requirements management and traceability. * Configuration management and change control. * Technical risk management. * Hardware and software embedded systems. * System validation, verification, and acceptance processes. **✅ Valuable Functional Knowledge:** * Defense and aeronautics programs. * System certification and qualification. * Aeronautical regulations and standards (DO\-178, DO\-254, ARP4754, or others). * Industrial and production processes. * Interaction with certification authorities and institutional customers. **✅ Key Competencies:** * Technical leadership and influence capability. * Holistic product and system vision. * Decision-making ability in complex environments. * Results orientation and commitment fulfillment. * Communication skills and stakeholder management. **✅ Languages:** * Advanced English is mandatory.
