**Career Counselor – MAIS Program** **For the center located in the town of Canet de Mar** **Fundació Gentis** is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving **employability**, and the **competency-based, emotional, and social development** of the most disadvantaged groups. At Gentis, we activate the gears to achieve **full social inclusion**, through community action, training, mentoring, mediation, family support, and psychological and therapeutic intervention. ##### **As a Career Counselor at Gentis...** You will have the opportunity to: **Carry out actions aimed at facilitating the labor market integration of unemployed individuals** * Conduct diagnostics, provide information, personalized career guidance, and counseling * Motivate and accompany individuals throughout their employment integration process * Promote training initiatives to improve their employability * Support individuals facing difficulties in securing employment * Develop their employability and facilitate both entry into and retention in the workplace ##### **What will you be responsible for?** * **Welcoming participants**, including individual and group activities, occupational diagnostics, and identification of competencies * **Promoting labor market integration and job retention**, defining professional goals and individualized pathways, and accompanying participants in their job search * **Mediating between supply and demand**, maintaining relationships with companies, identifying suitable job offers, and managing internships and visits to productive environments * **Evaluating occupational pathway improvement initiatives**, through personalized follow-up, program indicators, and satisfaction assessments * **Management and coordination**, including activity registration, report preparation, and coordination with local teams and stakeholders * **Cross-cutting tasks**, supporting other programs, fostering internal synergies, and collaborating in the dissemination of activities **Competency Profile** * Learning and applying knowledge * Emotional management * Communication * Organization and planning of one’s own work * Creativity * Teamwork ##### **What are the requirements?** Minimum qualification: Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in the Social Sector, or a degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, or Psychopedagogy Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in career counseling Familiarity with the local area Experience in career counseling programs and management tools (e.g., Galileu) Staff involved in career counseling and labor market prospecting must have training in gender perspective, aiming to ensure labor market integration free from sexist stereotypes and aligned with the competency-based employability model.
