Job Summary: We are seeking a Geriatric Care Assistant to provide socio-healthcare services in a senior residence, delivering basic daily care and ensuring resident well-being through person-centered attention. Key Highlights: 1. Person-centered care for elderly individuals and their daily care. 2. Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to promote resident well-being. 3. Support in activities of daily living and improvement of mood. We seek a candidate holding a qualification related to the socio-healthcare field to work as a Geriatric Care Assistant in the socio-healthcare service of a senior residence. Their primary objective is, together with the existing team, to carry out basic daily care tasks for elderly residents, guaranteeing person-centered attention, compliance with all applicable regulations, and monitoring and control of service quality standards. **Responsibilities:** · Personal hygiene assistance for users. · Reception and distribution of users’ meals. Facilitate and supervise residents’ food and fluid intake. · Feed residents who cannot feed themselves. · Report health-related incidents affecting residents. · Monitor residents’ health status. · Perform postural changes. · Facilitate and support use of prescribed technical aids. · Collaborate in administering medication prescribed by physicians and reviewed by registered nurses (RNs). · In the absence of RNs, perform glucose testing, administer insulin and heparin to residents, provided dosage and treatment follow-up are prescribed by physicians and/or nursing staff. · Support mood and behavioral improvement, reporting observed changes through information and observation techniques. · Assist with daily tasks for the most dependent residents. · Assist and support residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) requiring help. · Coordinate with the healthcare department. · Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team. · Complete required records. · Clean and prepare furniture, materials, and first-aid kit equipment. · Clean, organize, and maintain the ward, rooms, and residents’ personal items and utensils. Collect laundry, deliver it to the laundry facility, and assist in room maintenance. · Remove trash and deposit it into designated bins. **Mandatory Requirements:** · Qualification as Nursing Auxiliary Technician OR Professional Certification in Socio-Healthcare for Dependent Persons in Institutions · Flexible working hours **Preferred Qualifications:** · Experience in senior residences · Additional specialized training in the socio-healthcare field · Ability to train others on the job **Competencies** * High level of proactivity. * Methodical individual. * Organizational skills and ability to resolve incidents. * Ability to foster a positive work environment. * Flexibility and adaptability to change while performing duties. * Patience and empathy toward elderly individuals under care.
