Description

A preliminary indication of whether the socket is voltage-free is possible with the Wiha non-contact voltage tester Volt Detector EX 44309 thanks to its optical and acoustic signal. After switching on, the permanent green LED indicates readiness for operation. During voltage testing, depending on the strength of the alternating electric field, the LEDs illuminate from blue (weak) to orange to red (strong). If the device is not used for 4 minutes, it switches off automatically to save energy. An integrated LED flashlight enables illumination measurement at the point in dark environments and can also be used as a flashlight by manually turning it on and off. Thanks to its convenient size, the clip-on voltage tester fits comfortably into any shirt or trouser pocket. The Volt Detector EX voltage tester is suitable for detecting and locating live conductors, cable breaks or interruptions, blown fuses, defective lamps in string lights, and single-wire detection. Thanks to its internationally standardized measuring tip, the voltage tester is compatible with all socket types worldwide. Two AAA batteries are required for operation and are included in the delivery scope. The single-pole voltage tester complies with EN 61010-1 / IEC 61326 and is rated CAT IV 1,000 VAC. In addition, it is ATEX-certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (Category II).
