Our responsibilities include generating, identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and closing cloud opportunities with such clients. Specifically, for this position, we seek **an Oracle-specialized consultant who has worked as an architect designing and defining Oracle solutions for end customers, and defending technical proposals with end customers.** To succeed in this role, you must: * Possess knowledge of Oracle’s on-premises and cloud solution portfolio. * Have experience in designing, defining, and developing use cases around Oracle and OCI. * Have experience as an architect or pre-sales consultant for these solutions. * Understand Oracle’s licensing model. * Be familiar with public cloud providers, their offerings, and services. * Understand hybridization mechanisms and strategies for migrating to cloud environments. * Be familiar with cost optimization exercises, Oracle license renewals, etc. * Identify market trends in cloud, specifically in OCI. * Size and analyze opportunity details (e.g., customer information, requirements to be addressed, proposed solution, etc.) for the Engineering team responsible for preparing the proposal. * Manage customer expectations by gathering key operational insights and detailed technical conditions to develop projects accordingly. * Lead the iterative negotiation process with the customer, collaborating on technical and commercial adjustments to the presented proposal/offer as required. * Present the technical and commercial cloud solution offering to the customer, acting as a subject-matter expert explaining the designed service approach. * Conduct reference architecture exercises and comparative cost analyses across solutions. * Create and deliver proposal presentations and RFP responses aligned with company procedures. * Understand Telefónica’s cloud strengths, capabilities, and value proposition. * Participate in sales follow-up meetings with assigned commercial teams. * Build trust-based relationships with both the commercial teams serving customers and with customers themselves. * Generate, qualify, and pursue opportunities with customers. * Implement the cloud commercial strategy associated with the technologies under development. * Deliver commercial presentations about the company and its portfolio to customers, and secure receipt of technical/administrative RFP bases from customers. * Qualify and manage sales opportunities across the entire lifecycle using tools such as Salesforce. * Manage all stages of the sales cycle effectively, collaborating across internal teams and customer teams. **What will your day-to-day look like?** Your mission will be to generate, identify, qualify, quantify, and close cloud opportunities, primarily focused on ORACLE and OCI, targeting major clients in Spain and multinational corporations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include: * Presenting the value proposition to customers. * Designing and defining architectures; performing cost comparisons between Oracle and OCI. * Identifying and owning the sales funnel for the technologies you lead—in this case, Oracle. * Generating demand, identifying new customer use cases and challenges related to Oracle. * Analyzing customer proposals and requests. * Performing comparative analysis and defending technical proposals centered on Oracle. * Strengthening use cases and upselling strategies with customers. * Positioning the Oracle/OCI solution portfolio according to customer needs. * Understanding customer needs and positioning our capabilities accordingly. * Defending proposals; creating and delivering proposal presentations and RFP responses aligned with company procedures. * Supporting the development of proposals and RFP responses based on customer requirements. * Acting as a speaker at various specialist events and talks. * Tracking opportunities and detecting and resolving potential bottlenecks. * In general: accelerating and steering sales of our Oracle-related business by building value propositions to meet the company’s sales and revenue targets, through leadership in customer commercial management. **And to do this, we believe it would be ideal if you had…** **Experience** * Minimum 5 years in technical pre-sales or architecture roles. * Specialization in Oracle on-premises and public cloud environments, especially OCI. * Prior experience developing technical proposals and business cases. * Experience designing, sizing, or defining cloud architectures or solutions. * Experience in cloud transformation or migration projects. **Education** * Technical degree in Computer Science and/or Telecommunications. Recommended: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering. **Technical Knowledge** * Advanced knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: OCI, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Citrix, OpenShift. * Oracle-specific certifications. * Desirable: specific certifications in public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google GCP, OCI) or technologies such as VMware.
