Join us and be part of the adventure of the century! **We are seeking an Operational Business Controller for our Madrid office** **Mission** Responsible for continuously monitoring and analyzing the financial and operational activities of the heating and cooling networks business unit, ensuring profitability and achievement of strategic objectives. Includes preparing monthly closings, analytical data analysis and preparation of periodic financial information, budgeting and action plan development and follow-up. Acts as liaison between management and the Controlling department, delivering analyses in a concise and executive manner. **Responsibilities** * **Monitoring and Control of Activities:** Continuously supervise the evolution of financial and operational indicators (KPIs and KFIs), identify deviations from targets and propose corrective actions, and ensure information reliability. * **Information Management and Reporting:** Ensure information quality by actively participating in the creation of management reports and indicators, designing and contributing to the development of dashboards. Maintain and evolve systems and their technological development. * **Management Support:** Provide necessary information for strategic and operational decision-making. Lead communication with other departments involved in the area of responsibility. * **Financial Planning and Modeling:** Prepare the annual budget, medium-term plan, and monthly revisions and updates, developing and managing financial models enabling profitability tracking. * **Optimization and Continuous Improvement:** Challenge various operational managers, establishing the necessary dynamics to monitor the evolution of operational metrics. * Ensure implementation and compliance with **Health & Safety, Diversity, Cybersecurity, Environment, Sustainability, Ethics and Compliance Policies**, as well as defined organizational procedures and processes. **Requirements** * Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent education oriented toward financial management. * An MBA or Master’s in Finance is highly desirable. * Between 5 and 10 years of experience as a Controller, FP&A (Consulting/Audit), with experience in the energy sector relevant to this position. Experience in financial modeling is valued. * Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Management Accounting. * Expert-level proficiency in spreadsheet software. * Specific software: SAP, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud. * Analytical capability. * Communication skills: clear presentation adapted to diverse audiences, negotiation and persuasion skills, active listening and empathy. * Teamwork and leadership: This role demands the highest standards of leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams drawn from all areas of the organization. * Adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work while meeting agreed deadlines. * Initiative-Proactivity and commitment. * Advanced English (C1) is mandatory.
