The company is able to offer best\-in\-class launch services to commercial satellite operators, institutions, space agencies and national and international governmental entities. **Mission** As part of a small, passionate, and highly accomplished team, and reporting directly to the Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for leading the cost controlling and budget management activities of the Purchasing Department. The role is critical to ensuring financial discipline, cost transparency, and data\-driven decision\-making across complex space programs, supporting long\-term project execution in a highly regulated and technically demanding environment. You will act as a key interface between Purchasing, Finance, Programs, and Engineering, contributing to the successful delivery of space missions through robust cost control, risk management, and continuous process improvement. **Responsibilities** * Lead and ensure effective control of the Purchasing Department budget in line with the annual objectives set by Management, proactively identifying cost optimization and savings opportunities across space programs. * Coordinate closely with the Finance Department to plan, monitor, and update the EAC (Estimate at Completion), ensuring consistency between committed costs, actual expenditures, and program forecasts. * Control, monitor, and analyze all cost elements impacting the Supply Chain, including long lead items, critical components, and subcontracted activities relevant to space programs. * Provide financial visibility and purchasing cost analysis to support program reviews, management decision\-making, and internal governance processes. * Manage risk analysis related to procurement activities, including make\-or\-buy strategies, assessment of critical and single\-source suppliers, and mitigation plans aligned with program constraints. * Lead the definition, maintenance, and evolution of the Purchasing Department dashboard, ensuring high data quality, traceability, and alignment with program and company KPIs. * Ensure accurate and consistent use of ERP tools (Odoo or similar) for cost tracking, commitments, and reporting across projects. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing controlling processes, adapted to space industry requirements (long program lifecycles, change management, compliance) * Prepare and present management reports on budget status, risks, deviations, and opportunities to the Purchasing Director and senior stakeholders. * Manage and develop a team of Supply Analysts, ensuring workload prioritization, technical guidance, and professional development. * Act as a reference point within the Purchasing Department for cost control, data analysis, and financial discipline. **Required Competences** * Degree in Engineering or Business Administration (ADE) * Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost controlling, purchasing controlling, or similar roles within project\-based environments. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. * High organizational capacity and attention to detail. * Flexibility and dynamism to operate in complex, long\-term, and evolving programs. * Fluent spoken and written English. * Strong knowledge of office automation tools, especially Excel and data analysis/reporting tools. **Desired Competences** * Strong background in Finance, Cost Analysis, and Cost Optimization. * Experience working in aerospace, space, defense, or other high\-technology regulated industries. * Experience using Odoo or similar ERP systems for purchasing and cost control. * Proven experience managing and coordinating teams. * Familiarity with project\-based organizations, long program lifecycles, and multi\-stakeholder environments. * Knowledge of space program constraints (schedule criticality, qualification phases, supplier dependency) **Benefits** **Health \& Wellness** * Physiotherapy within our facilities * 50% discount on your health insurance * You can sign\-up your family members with health insurance at a competitive price. * Healthy snacks and lots of fruit **Find balance** * 23 days of paid vacation plus December 24th and 31st * Flexible work schedule **Never stop learning** * We encourage practical learning * We promote professional development through internal mobility and teamwork **Focus on your financial future** * Childcare flexible contributions * Restaurant tickets * Transport flexible contributions * Training support **Values** We have five critical beliefs that guide the way PLD Space is shaping the future of space launch technologies. * Teamwork. * Hard work. * Dynamism. * Commitment. * Keep it simple.
