Key job responsibilities Apprenticeship Program: We offer you a unique opportunity to train while gaining professional experience through a two-year program, enabling you to obtain the official qualification as a Senior Technician in Mechatronics and the professional experience required to join our RME (Reliability, Maintenance, Engineering) teams. The program structure is as follows: * You will complete the Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Mechatronics at Mondragón Goi Eskola Politeknikoa (in Arrasate\-Mondragón); you can visit their website via the following link: https://www.mondragon.edu/es/ciclos\-formativos\-grado\-superior/oferta\-formacion\-profesional The program will follow a work-study format—alternating periods of formal education with real-world experience at the logistics center where you applied for the position. (When travel is required for training periods, Amazon will cover accommodation and transportation expenses from your assigned workplace.) * You will receive additional training in areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, English, and technical supplements (e.g., Robotics…) * You will undertake work-study training by learning the profession while working at the logistics center to which you applied. During these phases, you will work scheduled shifts. * Throughout the entire program, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor (tutor) who will guide you successfully both during your time at the educational institution and at our logistics centers. During the apprenticeship program, you will work toward achieving the following objectives: Ensure standards to maintain workplace reliability—from modern logistics technologies to building infrastructure, Safely implement and maintain high-tech equipment, Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment using a dedicated fixed-asset management system (CMMS), Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers using modern methods, Respond rapidly to equipment failures and faults, draw conclusions from them, and implement corrective actions, Participate in cross-departmental joint projects—particularly those aimed at enhancing equipment and facility safety, Enhance knowledge and skills through internal and external training and by exchanging experiences with specialists within the team. Apprenticeship Program Structure: You will begin the apprenticeship program in late August 2026, enrolling in the Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Mechatronics at Mondragón University in a work-study format (intensive 6\-8-week training blocks), where you will acquire all foundational knowledge of this profession and apply it during work-study phases at our logistics centers (4\-5-week blocks). All travel required for training weeks will be covered by Amazon. During this phase, you will connect with your logistics center mentor and, simultaneously, receive specialized instruction from Amazon professionals (integrated into the vocational training curriculum) on Amazon’s maintenance approach or even introductions to specific technologies. During logistics center phases, you will immerse yourself in this profession by spending time alongside our teams, experiencing daily tasks under the supervision and guidance of a mentor from our professional team. Once you successfully complete and graduate from the vocational training cycle, we hope you will continue your journey with us and apply for available technical staff positions at our logistics centers. Amazon will fully fund your vocational training cycle and your stay in Mondragón (full-board student residence) as well as transportation between the logistics center and the educational institution for each work-study block.
