Description
We are seeking a cook for a residential center in Gijón. The main responsibility is to prepare high-quality menus designed for residents, visitors, and staff. Daily tasks include managing the pantry, receiving and inspecting food orders, controlling inventories, maintaining a clean and well-functioning kitchen, cooking according to established dietary regimes, and supervising meal cart assembly for meal service. Additionally, the candidate will place orders with suppliers as directed by their supervisor and ensure uniformity and hygiene among their team.
Primary education is required, along with supplementary training in cooking or in the use of cleaning chemicals. Training in food handling and prior experience in this role are valued.
A temporary full-time contract is offered, with rotating morning (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and afternoon (3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) shifts. The work environment is collaborative and respectful, with opportunities for continuous training and professional development.
