Introduction to Buddhism Diamond Way
Description
**Every Monday at 20:00** we hold an introductory talk on Diamond Way Buddhism (30 minutes), followed by our guided meditation (30 minutes) What is the Diamond Way? The Buddha gave instructions to three types of people. The first, who wished to avoid suffering, received teachings on Cause and Effect, known as the Narrow Path (Hinayana). The second type of people felt the need to benefit others, so he gave them teachings on compassion and wisdom, known as the Great Path (Mahayana). Finally, to those who had firm confidence in their own potential and that of others, the Buddha explained the Diamond Way (Vajrayana) teachings. At this highest level, we use methods of identifying with the goal and act as a Buddha until we become one. At the highest level, the goal is the complete development of the mind, which he called the Great Seal (Mahamudra). Who are we? Diamond Way Buddhism Malaga is part of over 700 meditation centers worldwide within the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. These centers were founded and guided by Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah Nydahl, in accordance with the wishes of H.H. XVI Karmapa. They are now under the spiritual guidance of H.H. XVII Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje. Our meditation center consists of people who have their own jobs and integrate Diamond Way teachings and meditations into their daily lives. Our members share the responsibility of guiding meditations, answering questions, and giving explanations about Buddhism. Our work is unpaid and based on idealism and friendship. We hold periodic meditation evenings, always at 20:30 (Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri). Meditations are guided in Spanish, except on Thursday, when they are in English, allowing space, clarity, and joy to arise naturally. Other activities include talks, teachings, and personal practice. **For those attending the introduction for the first time, please call WhatsApp 695 551 758**
