




DESCRIPTION **LOCATION:** Ireland (Dublin) We are seeking a **Senior Electrical Engineer** responsible for producing design drawings, diagrams and schematics, project specifications and schedules for building services design that comply with Irish and European standards, building regulations and CIBSE guidelines. The engineer will work on **specialized engineering projects across all types of buildings (Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Education, Public Buildings, Hotel & Leisure, Data Centers)**. **FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** As a senior electrical engineer, you are responsible for electrical projects from A to Z. You work closely with your team and report directly to the Project Director. Your functions and responsibilities include: Receiving a full project briefing Developing conceptual designs and schematics Managing engineers who carry out detailed design solutions in accordance with relevant standards Feasibility studies. Leading various projects from an electrical/mechanical perspective and being part of a multidisciplinary team. * Preparation of technical specifications Analyzing complex engineering problems and providing effective solutions. Providing support for budget and fee proposals as required. Liaising with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time according to client requirements Checking detailed design solutions and engineering drawings. Managing workload and resources to meet project deadlines. Managing technical delivery by engineering and design teams. Gathering and managing mechanical/electrical bid, approval and construction packages in an efficient and straightforward manner Supervising junior engineering staff as necessary. Producing and verifying design documentation such as Design Basis, Technical Specifications, and Design Justification Reports, etc. Understanding requirements for concept and detailed design drawings, such as design proposal plans, flow diagrams, etc. Reviewing other engineers' work for accuracy and quality and performing reviews. Attending client and site meetings. Reviewing and commissioning installations. Analyzing commissioning reports. Attending completed works demonstrations. Responsible, in cooperation with the Project Director, for the technical quality of conceptual designs, design schematics, detailed drawings and other design documentation Responsible for project delivery through single-discipline and multidisciplinary design reviews and risk and operability studies. Translating project specifications into conceptual designs in cooperation with the Project Director and ensuring subsequent design complies with project requirements. Producing and verifying engineering calculations necessary to support any conceptual scheme or detailed engineering design work for which the selected candidate would be responsible. Commercial awareness and ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where applicable to deliver cost-effective solutions for our clients. Responsible for the day-to-day management of design/construction projects in terms of technical performance. Maintains product and company reputation by maintaining personal professional development Comply with the company's Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management System requirements, i.e., perform work in accordance with process documents and procedures and maintain departmental document information/complete forms/records as necessary. Understand and apply quality policy in all aspects of work. Contribute to achieving company objectives Ensure customer needs and requirements are understood and met. Help develop and improve internal processes and customer management systems by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas. Carry out site inspections and measure progress for cost reporting. Preparation of Project Budgets. **MAIN REQUIREMENTS:** Engineering degree or equivalent **5 to 10 years** of relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical building services design Proficiency in CAD and IES simulation where possible Strong practical knowledge of modeling software (e.g., Dialux, Elevate, Trimble, Amtech/IES) Advanced knowledge of all applicable mechanical/electrical engineering codes, standards and accepted industry practices Strong verbal and written communication skills required, with ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
