We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure/Big Data Administrator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems and Big Data platform administration to join our team in hybrid mode. If you are passionate about infrastructure, systems administration, and Big Data technologies, we want to meet you! ***What do we offer?*** * Professional development opportunities and continuous training. * Work flexibility to facilitate work-life balance. * A collaborative and innovative working environment within a leading IT solutions company. * Hybrid mode: remote work and on-site work at the client’s office in Canillas, Madrid. * Working hours: 8:30–18:30 (Monday to Thursday) – 8:00–15:00 (Friday). ***Responsibilities*** * Propose, justify, and defend technical solutions to non-technical managers. * Monitor systems from the virtualization layer up to the application server layer, performing system administration activities and routine tasks. * Work autonomously, under pressure, goal-oriented, and meeting established deadlines. * Resolve problems by making decisive decisions based on risk assessment. * Design platforms according to functional requirements, availability needs, data volumes, and number of users. * Collaborate and participate in projects related to the design, implementation, and operation of Big Data and analytics platforms. * Provide support to teams and develop scripts for monitoring and task automation. * Demonstrate hands-on experience with Big Data technologies and the ability to rapidly learn new tools. * Maintain a responsible, analytical approach, committed to confidentiality and quality of deliverables. **Requirements:** --------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. * Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the IT industry. * Strong experience in Linux operating system administration (Red Hat family). * Experience installing, administering, and operating two or more of the following technologies: * + SuSE Rancher and Kubernetes clusters. + Elasticsearch. + Cloudera Private Cloud Platform Hadoop components (Hadoop, Yarn, HBase, Impala, etc.). + VMware vSphere virtualization platforms. * Knowledge or experience with high-availability solutions, load balancers, relational databases (PostgreSQL), monitoring systems (Nagios), and automation/deployment tools. * Basic knowledge of networking, firewalls, SAN storage, and x86 architecture hardware.
