Workplace Gavá Mission We are seeking a Data Scientist whose mission is to transform large volumes of data into actionable insights that support strategic business decision-making. Reports to Director of Strategy. Functions and responsibilities Analyze complex data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Design and develop analytical models and business metrics. Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries on large volumes of data. Develop analyses and Python scripts for data exploration, cleaning, and modeling. Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI (or similar tools) for various stakeholders. Collaborate with business, technology, and product teams to define analytical requirements. Document processes, models, and results clearly and systematically. Competencies Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable conclusions. Strong communication skills and data storytelling abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in teams, communicate clearly, and cooperate effectively with diverse technical and functional profiles. Responsibility, organization, and quality orientation. Experience Advanced proficiency in SQL. Solid experience with Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib/seaborn or other analytical libraries). Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar data visualization tools. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong analytical focus. Experience working with large volumes of data (highly desirable). Education Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field. A Master’s degree or specialized training in Data Science / Analytics will be considered a plus. Languages Native Spanish; intermediate-to-advanced Catalan.
