drive resolution of exceptions. * Own month\-end close: close calendar, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance/flux analysis with clear management commentary. * Ensure correct revenue recognition and contra\-revenue (discounts, returns, chargebacks) and maintain a clean order\-to\-cash audit trail by channel and market. * Build and maintain an ecommerce\-ready chart of accounts and financial dimensions (market, channel, entity) to support decision\-making. * Oversee accounts payable: invoice processing, approvals, vendor master controls, payment runs, and prevention of duplicate and fraudulent payments. * Partner with Ops/Supply Chain on inventory and COGS accuracy: landed cost, freight, duties, inventory reconciliation, adjustments, and margin integrity. * Coordinate tax compliance (VAT/GST and corporate tax with advisors): filing calendar, reconciliations, documentation, and audit\-ready workpapers. * Own payroll finance controls: approval workflow, payroll\-to\-GL reconciliation, headcount and cost tracking. * Strengthen internal controls and governance: segregation of duties, access reviews, approval limits, policies, and process documentation. * Manage the relationship with external bookkeeping, audit, tax partners, ensuring high quality, on\-time deliverables, and clear ownership. * Drive continuous improvement and automation of finance processes, reporting, and data quality across tools and integrations. **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Senior Accountant in an ecommerce brand. * 5\+ years of experience in financial controlling / accounting, with ownership of month\-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting. * Strong hands\-on experience with Shopify, Amazon and payment providers (e.g., Stripe/Klarna/PayPal): settlements, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and clearing accounts. * Strong understanding of ecommerce financial mechanics: gross\-to\-net revenue, discounts and promos, returns, chargebacks, shipping costs, and margin drivers. * Experience working in multi\-currency and/or multi\-entity setups; comfortable with FX revaluation and intercompany basics. * Experience with inventory and COGS in ecommerce (landed cost, freight, duties, inventory reconciliation, returns impact). * Comfortable coordinating VAT/GST and corporate tax with external advisors; maintains clean documentation and audit trail. * Advanced Google Sheets skills; able to build robust reconciliations and control checks. * Strong systems mindset: experience with accounting tools and integrations (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero \+ Shopify \+ Amazon); able to investigate data mismatches end\-to\-end. * High attention to detail, strong internal controls discipline, and ability to work independently in a fast\-paced environment. * Ability to work independently, prioritize in a fast\-paced environment, and drive processes to completion with minimal oversight. * Strong communication skills: can explain financial results clearly to non\-finance stakeholders and push back when needed. * Fluent in English **Do not apply if:** If any of these resonate with you, please do not apply. * You want a role where you “do your tasks and go home” and don’t care about the company’s trajectory. * You avoid accountability, prefer shared responsibility, or need constant supervision to stay on track. * You’re willing to compromise integrity—cut corners, bend reality, or “make things look better” when pressure rises. * You dislike transparency and prefer to keep issues quiet until they explode. * You get defensive with feedback, resist change, or believe your way is the only way. * You struggle in high\-expectation environments where speed and quality both matter. * You prefer comfort over growth and don’t like being challenged by ambitious goals. * You create friction: blame, drama, ego, or poor collaboration across teams. * You don’t enjoy building structure or improving how things work—you’d rather stick to the minimum required. * You’re uncomfortable making clear calls, taking responsibility, and standing behind your decisions. **Apply if:** If you resonate with all of these, we encourage you to apply. * You genuinely want to help build a company from $30m to $500m—and you feel energized by the level\-up in standards and pace that requires. * You take extreme ownership: you don’t wait to be told, you drive outcomes, and you follow through until the job is done. * You operate with integrity even under pressure: you protect the truth, the company’s trust, and the long\-term reputation. * You value transparency: you surface issues early, communicate clearly, and don’t play politics or hide problems. * You have high standards and you raise the bar around you—calmly, consistently, and without ego. * You enjoy building structure: processes, routines, and ways of working that make a business more scalable. * You’re comfortable in a fast\-moving environment where priorities shift—and you stay grounded, focused, and solutions\-oriented. * You’re a growth\-mindset person: you actively seek feedback, learn quickly, and continually improve how you work. * You treat people with respect: reliable, direct, low\-drama, and a strong team player who communicates well across functions. * You want impact: you’re not here to “have a job,” you’re here to contribute meaningfully and grow with the company. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. **Benefits** * High\-impact role in a hyper\-growth company * Real ownership, not just execution * Fast career growth * Remote\-first, global team * Performance\-driven culture * Competitive compensation \+ performance incentives * Flexible work environment * Opportunity to build systems from the ground up * Direct exposure to ecommerce at scale * No bureaucracy, no fluff
