We are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant for our Madrid team: **Your main responsibilities would be:** **Supporting the Department Head in executing and controlling projects:** * Collaborating in project planning, monitoring, and closure. * Monitoring milestones, deadlines, deviations, and operational needs. * Preparing technical and management documentation associated with each project. * Supporting coordination with other involved departments. **Coordinating with the technical team:** * Monitoring progress of technical activities. * Collecting and consolidating information generated by the team. * Facilitating internal communication and promptly resolving minor incidents. * Ensuring alignment between project requirements and technical deliverables. **Analyzing departmental KPIs (efficiency, timelines, profitability, success rate in tenders).** * Monthly collection and updating of departmental performance data. * Monitoring and proposing improvements. * Identifying trends and operational risks based on KPIs. **Supporting budget preparation:** * Preparing cost estimates and schedules. * Reviewing budget variances. * Collaborating in developing economic proposals for tenders. * Controlling and tracing expenses associated with projects. * Liaising with clients and external stakeholders. **Requirements** **What are we looking for in you?** * University degree related to Environmental Sciences (Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering) * A Master’s degree in Environmental Management / Management Systems (ISO 14001, EMAS) or in Sustainability and Climate Change will be considered favorably. * Advanced level of English * Valid driver’s license * We would like you to have experience in: * Carbon footprint calculation (Scopes 1, 2, and 3). * Practical knowledge of environmental ISO standards. * Principles of circular economy. * Environmental legislation. * Project management (schedules, Gantt charts, milestone tracking). * Advanced Excel / BI tools. * Interpretation of environmental audits. **Additional Information** **Have you ever asked yourself… Why SGS?** You will become part of a multicultural team within a multinational corporation, where each person is essential to achieving the business purpose.
