We are looking for a Consumer Lending Business Lead (m/f/d) to strengthen our team, supporting the successful operation and further development of our German consumer lending business and acting as a trusted operational sparring partner to the Country Manager. Operational execution and personnel responsibility remain with the operational teams—you ensure operational oversight, coordination, and functional leadership across sales, servicing, and administration. This is a senior individual role with cross-functional functional leadership responsibility but without disciplinary people management responsibilities. You deliver results through structured coordination, clear requirements, data-driven insights, and strong stakeholder management. **Your Responsibilities** * Map, document, monitor, and optimize core processes in sales and onboarding (lead capture, KYC/creditworthiness assessment, decisioning, disbursement, activation); introduce automation and controls to reduce processing times and error rates. * Define and improve customer touchpoints along the customer journey; develop templates and conversation guides; monitor NPS and external reviews and drive improvement initiatives. * Take responsibility for developing, maintaining, and evolving standard processes and escalation procedures, as well as ensuring consistent documentation and uniform reporting standards. * Collaborate with operational teams to develop and coordinate onboarding and refresher training; provide functional support during change initiatives. * Monitor and analyze operational KPIs (conversion rate, first-payment rate, payment defaults, NPS), lead root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions. * Establish quality assurance and control standards jointly with operational teams, monitor their effectiveness, and propose improvements. * Coordinate resolution of operational disruptions and sales-related issues, including appropriate escalation and timely remediation. * Work closely with the Country Manager and operational teams to align operational execution with business priorities and customer experience; provide functional guidance without assuming disciplinary leadership responsibilities. * Ensure communication and alignment with external partners to efficiently achieve business objectives and maintain long-term relationships. * Ensure operational processes and customer communications comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk standards. * Support the Country Manager in business development, product/channel/campaign launches, and business case development. **Your Profile** * Completed university degree (e.g., business administration, finance, economics, etc.); MBA advantageous. * Fluent German (C1/C2 level) and good English skills. * Experience coordinating/optimizing sales, service, or back-office processes—ideally within a financial institution—with comprehensive understanding of sales pipelines and customer service processes. * Systematic, analytical working style with strong decision-making ability and execution strength. * Convincing communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. * Ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and resolve conflicts. * Proficient use of CRM/credit granting systems, BI tools, and Excel. * Experience in the German banking/consumer lending sector is advantageous. * Customer-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused mindset, with high sense of responsibility and attention to detail. * Team-oriented yet capable of independent work; adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. **What We Offer** * A dynamic and supportive work environment where you learn from experienced colleagues. * Hands-on experience through challenging projects in a modern, fast-paced company. * Diverse learning and development opportunities for your professional growth. * Insights into banking and legal topics within an international setting. * Career opportunities in a rapidly growing bank.
