Our partner is a fast\-growing tech startup that helps hotels increase their website revenue by personalizing and optimizing the booking experience. They operate in more than 30 countries worldwide, supporting hundreds of hotels in improving their online performance. **The Mission:** As a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and SQL databases, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support high\-traffic, data\-driven web applications. **The Role:** * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. * Build robust and scalable RESTful APIs to support frontend and third\-party integrations. * Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases, ensuring performance, data integrity, and scalability. * Collaborate with product, frontend, and other engineering teams to define and deliver new features. * Write clean, maintainable, and well\-tested code following best practices. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase. * Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend and performance\-related issues. * Document technical solutions, architecture decisions, and processes when needed. **What we are looking for:** * 5\+ years of professional experience in backend software development. * Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot. * Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server. * Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs. * Good understanding of software architecture, scalability, and performance. * Experience working with version control systems such as Git. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies. * Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * **Advanced, bilingual, or native level of English.** **Benefits:** * Young, dynamic, and multicultural team. * Opportunity to grow in an international and fast\-scaling company. * Career development plan within the company. **Are you ready to be part of the challenge?
