**Job Description** ------------------------ Within the Permanent Control and Operational Risk (RPC) team, we promote a robust internal control culture and collaborate closely with heads of all Bank departments. Our objective is to ensure operational excellence and effective risk management, contributing to the Bank’s sustainable growth. As an **Operational Risk Analyst**, you will join an international team (Madrid and Luxembourg), reporting directly to the RPC department. You will work in direct contact with Compliance, Relationship Managers, Client Service Officers, and Chief of Staff, actively participating in key decision-making for the Bank. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare and present documentation for the Internal Control and Compliance Committee (CCI), draft minutes, and follow up on action plans. * Coordinate and monitor the implementation of corrective measures, leading cross-departmental projects. * Supervise and coordinate, jointly with Luxembourg, the internal control system of the Spanish branch, participating in international meetings and in the definition/review of controls. * Execute internal controls over operations across various areas: regulatory compliance, fraud, accounting, regulatory reporting, expenses, suppliers, external network, etc. * Analyze control results to identify root causes and propose improvements, ensuring resolution of anomalies and prevention of recurrence. Evaluate the relevance of existing controls and propose enhancements or automation, including the use of AI tools. * Conduct post\-mortem analyses of operational errors to reduce risks and optimize processes. * Support the annual update of the risk map and collaborate in analyzing new products and activities prior to launch. * Assist Credit Analysts in monitoring and controlling collateral. Train staff on operational risk matters. This includes prior experience in internal control, operational risk management, regulatory compliance, or internal audit—preferably within banking, finance, or strategic consulting. Experience must include active participation in defining and implementing controls, coordinating action plans, supervising operational processes, and collaborating across departments to continuously improve internal procedures. Minimum years of experience 6 \- 10 years Required skills Skills: · Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to constructively identify process improvement opportunities. · Rigorous, detail-oriented profile, with flexibility to adapt to varying business situations and needs. · Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling clear transmission of ideas and optimization proposals. · Accustomed to working in demanding environments, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. · Proactive and autonomous approach to anticipating needs, proposing solutions, and tackling complex challenges with a positive, results-oriented attitude. · Proficiency in office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, BI) and knowledge of AI (prompting). IT tools Office software proficiency. Familiarity with generative AI.
