To support our continued growth across EMEA, we are seeking a dynamic **Accountant / Accounting Assistant** to join our finance team. This role is an excellent opportunity to integrate into our accounting operations and build a meaningful career with a global industry leader. **Your Impact: The Essence of the Role** As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the financial objectives of the EMEA region. You will support the R2R Manager in managing a portfolio of properties and legal entities across Europe, ensuring timely monthly reporting and overseeing compliance with local Spanish regulations. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will directly contribute to our financial excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Manage Financial Statements:** Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting. * **Drive Regulatory Compliance:** Take ownership of local VAT compliance, including preparation of VAT returns and management of electronic invoicing records (SII) for Spanish entities. * **Ensure Accuracy:** Review and process transactions, prepare key reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, fixed assets), and proactively resolve any discrepancies. * **Support Audits:** Play a key role in preparing for and executing statutory audits for our Spanish entities. * **Collaborate for Success:** Serve as a trusted partner to internal teams such as Asset Management and FP&A, and manage external service providers. * **Promote Improvement:** Actively contribute to improving our accounting processes and internal controls, and seize opportunities to participate in exciting finance projects. **What We’re Looking For:** **Experience and Education:** * Accountant with 1–5 years of experience, preferably in a multinational environment. * Knowledge of Spanish tax and accounting regulations (VAT, SII). * Solid systems knowledge and intermediate/advanced Excel skills. * Good command of English (B2 or higher). **The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:** * Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. * A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. * A proactive mindset, eager to take on new challenges and develop their career at Digital Realty. **Ready to connect with a career at Digital Realty?
