




### **Our client** The University of Deusto, a leading institution with campuses in Bilbao and Donostia / San Sebastián, as well as an office in Madrid, within the structure of the Information Technologies Unit of the Bilbao campus and in collaboration with the People Management Directorate, is seeking to hire an experienced **Cybersecurity and Networks Engineer**, to strengthen its technological infrastructure. ### **Mission** The selected candidate’s role will include managing firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems, as well as proactively monitoring the network. They will participate in incident detection and response, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing solutions, playing a key role in optimizing network performance and implementing robust security policies to safeguard the University’s assets. **Key responsibilities:** * **Design and implementation of secure network architectures:** including network segmentation (VLANs, microsegmentation) and configuration of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). * **Perimeter security management:** ensuring protection of network boundaries through advanced solutions and configuration of VPNs for secure remote access. * **Conducting internal audits and vulnerability scans:** identifying weaknesses in the network infrastructure and coordinating necessary remediation actions. * **Advanced network monitoring and log analysis:** for proactive detection of anomalies, suspicious activities, and threats, integrating data with SIEM systems. * **Active participation in cybersecurity incident response:** investigating, containing, and resolving security events affecting the network. * **Development and maintenance of network security policies and procedures:** ensuring documentation remains up-to-date and aligned with best practices and regulations. * **Network Access Control (NAC) management:** defining and enforcing rules regarding who and how users may connect to network resources. * Support for regulatory compliance with **ENS and ISO27001 standards**. * And other duties inherent to the position. ### **What we offer** * Stable employment at an institution committed to technological innovation and professional development. * Participation in strategic projects impacting the entire university community. * A collaborative environment driven by strong motivation for knowledge. * Flexible working hours and work-life balance measures. * Competitive salary conditions commensurate with experience and suitability of profile, within the professional career framework for technical and management staff at the University. ### **Requirements** * University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields. * Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Systems Auditing, or Risk Management will be highly valued. * **3–5 years of proven experience** in roles such as Cybersecurity Engineering, Network Administration, Network Security, Security Consulting, or Systems Auditing. * Professional proficiency in English and Basque. * We seek a person with strong communication and teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, and autonomy in decision-making.
