Description
**We are looking for IT talent specialized in backend development and infrastructure!** At Grupo PROEDUCA, a leader in online higher education, we are seeking to hire a **Backend Developer (Python) with infrastructure knowledge** to join our technology team and contribute to the development and evolution of backend services supporting the experience of thousands of students. We are looking for a candidate passionate about **high-quality backend development**, who enjoys designing APIs, modeling data, and writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code — and who also has interest or experience in everything behind these services: containers, deployments, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud. You will join an innovation team within a dynamic technology environment, where you can work on real production systems and continue developing your expertise in infrastructure and DevOps culture. **What will you do daily?** * Design and development of **REST APIs in Python**, following best practices for development, documentation, and testing. * Modeling and management of **relational databases** (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and participation in NoSQL solutions when required by the project. * Development of **unit and integration tests** as a natural part of the development lifecycle. * Containerization of services using **Docker**, and participation in their deployment processes. * Integration into **CI/CD pipelines**, working on automated build, testing, and deployment processes. * Collaboration on **infrastructure tasks**, understanding and participating in the configuration of services on Kubernetes and cloud environments. * Monitoring and maintenance of production services, using **logs, metrics, and traces** to detect and resolve incidents. * Active participation in **code reviews** and architectural decisions made by the team. * Collaboration with the team to build robust, scalable, and evolution-ready backend solutions. **What are we looking for?** * Demonstrable experience of **3 to 5 years in backend development**. * Strong proficiency in **Python**, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and the ability to write organized and maintainable code. * Production experience with at least one **Python backend framework**, such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask. * Solid knowledge of designing and implementing **RESTful APIs**, including OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2/JWT authentication, versioning, and best practices for security and performance. * Knowledge of **databases and SQL**, including queries, joins, and data modeling. * Experience working with **Git**, and fluency using the command line in Linux environments. * Professional-level Spanish and **sufficient English to work with technical documentation**. Preferred qualifications: * Experience with **Docker** and application containerization. * Knowledge of **Kubernetes**, especially pods, deployments, and services—even at a basic operational level. * Knowledge of **DevOps and CI/CD**, using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalents. * Experience working with **cloud platforms**, such as GCP, Azure, or AWS. * Knowledge of **infrastructure-as-code**, especially Terraform, or other orchestration tools. * Experience in **observability**, including logs, metrics, and tools like Prometheus or Grafana. * Familiarity with **ORMs**, such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM, and experience with message queues or caching systems like Redis. * Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a technical portfolio on GitHub. **What do we offer?** An indefinite contract with an educational group that is a market leader and continuously growing. A hybrid work model and flexible working hours. Join a **full-stack innovation team** within a rapidly expanding company. Real production backend work and growth opportunities in **DevOps, containers, and cloud**. A continuous development and training plan, with access to our educational platforms. A competitive salary aligned with your experience and expertise. A technology-driven environment where you can participate in real projects and take ownership of the solutions you build. **We want to meet you!** If you are passionate about **backend development**, enjoy building clean and maintainable code, and wish to grow further in infrastructure and DevOps — this is your opportunity! *The EDUCATIONAL Group is firmly committed to equal opportunities and diversity, thereby creating an environment free from all forms of discrimination.* \#LI\-SP1
