We are seeking a **Java Developer** profile focused on R&D environments and data space interoperability, with strong technical expertise and flexibility to work with emerging technologies and distributed architectures. **What would your role be?** The candidate must have advanced experience in modern Java development (Java 21 or higher), applying sound design practices, modular programming, and scalable backend service development. Solid knowledge of build and dependency management tools such as Maven and/or Gradle is required. The role will center on developing connectors and associated services for data space ecosystems—particularly using Eclipse Dataspace Connector and data exchange protocols (EDP/Data Space Protocols). Prior experience in interoperability-oriented architectures, data sovereignty, and service federation will be valued. **Your profile** * **Java 21\+** * **Maven / Gradle** * REST APIs * EDC / Data Spaces * FIWARE * SSI / VC / DCP * **Docker / Kubernetes** * GitLab CI/CD * Helm * Grafana / Prometheus * **Keycloak / OAuth2\.0** * React/Vue (preferred) * Fluent English proficiency. **Responsibilities** * Development of EDC connectors and associated backend services. * Integration of data flows for consumption by a master orchestrator. * **Development of REST APIs, Java extensions for policies and connectors, and interoperability components**. * Participation in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. * Research and validation of new technologies within the R&D context.
