We are currently seeking a RedHat Linux Administrator for one of our clients in Madrid. **Your day-to-day responsibilities** * Administer and provide support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, managing users, groups, and access permissions. * Configure networks and SSH access, and install and update packages using RPM and Flatpak. * Manage system security through SELinux and develop shell scripts to automate tasks. * Administer containers with Podman and manage storage via NFS and LVM. * Perform provisioning and decommissioning of virtual machines, resource scaling, and template maintenance in VMware vSphere environments. * Participate in 24x7 on-call shifts to ensure system availability (starting from the third month of employment). ***Work location:*** Cuzco area – Plaza de Castilla (Madrid), hybrid model: 2 days per week on-site at the client’s premises and 3 days per week remote work (Tuesdays and Thursdays fixed as remote). Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week throughout the year: Fridays and two additional weekdays in continuous shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and two weekdays in split shift from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (including one hour for lunch). Starting from the third month of employment, weekly 24x7 on-call availability is required. **Requirements:** --------------- * Minimum 3 years of experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or later Administrator: * Users, groups, and file access control. * Network and SSH configuration. * Package installation using RPM and Flatpak. * Security management with SELinux. * Shell scripting. * Podman container management. * Storage management via NFS and LVM. * Minimum 2 years of experience in managing and administering VMware vSphere 6.x and 7.x virtualized systems: provisioning and decommissioning of virtual machines, scaling of virtual resources, and template maintenance. **Desirable qualifications** * RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification – RHEL 6.0 or higher. * VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – Data Center Virtualization. * ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification. **Knowledge or training in:** * Automation with Ansible. * Red Hat Security. * Patching, software distribution, and job execution via Red Hat Satellite. * Oracle Exadata.
