That's why, at Telefónica España, we offer you the opportunity to join our team. **WORK LOCATION:** BILBAO **WE WANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU...** Your mission **will be to lead research projects focused on quantum computing applications** for the telecommunications sector, exploring solutions that can transform our network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data processing capabilities, as well as incorporating these attributes into our value proposition for customers. **DAILY CHALLENGES YOU WILL FACE:** * Develop **innovation projects** in quantum technologies. * Identify **opportunities**, assess the **feasibility** of solutions, **design**, specify, manage **implementation**, test, evaluate, transfer, and supervise innovation projects in quantum technologies. * Coordinate relationships with entities participating in the projects, particularly companies forming the BIQAIN Hub and public administrations in Bizkaia. * Create **product/service models**, both for business and internal use, resulting from the transfer of innovation projects. * Provide **commercial and strategic objectives** to quantum initiatives at Telefónica España. * **Coordinate other technical, strategic, and commercial areas** within the company’s quantum domain. * **Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams** of engineering, business, security, and data analysis, both internal and external, including suppliers and customers. * **Evaluate emerging quantum technologies** and their potential impact on the business. * Develop **proofs of concept** and prototypes to validate quantum applications. * Design, develop, and implement **quantum algorithms applicable to specific problems in the telecommunications sector.** * Create **technical and non-technical documentation** for internal presentation to Business Units, as well as external dissemination and justification of the projects. * Disseminate projects in appropriate **forums** internally and externally to Telefónica: media, conferences, events, and meetings with public agencies, etc. * Perform **tracking of project funding resources, expenses, and consumption** on project management platforms. **DO YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF? WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!** **EDUCATION:** Valued: * Degree in Physics, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field. Master's degree in areas related to quantum computing. * **KNOWLEDGE:** The following technical knowledge will be valued: * Knowledge of **quantum programming languages**: Qiskit, Cirq, Q\#, PyQuil, or similar. * Knowledge in **linear algebra, quantum information theory, and computational complexity.** * Practical experience with any **quantum computing platform** (IBM Quantum, Google Quantum AI, Amazon Braket, Microsoft Quantum, etc.) * Knowledge of **classical programming languages**: Python, C\+\+, Java. * Knowledge in **machine learning** and its integration with quantum computing. * Understanding of **telecommunications technologies and networks.** * Knowledge of **quantum and post-quantum communication technologies.** * Familiarity with **high-performance computing environments.** **EXPERIENCE:** The following experience will be valued: * In **project management.** * In **simulation of quantum systems.** * With **fundamental quantum algorithms** (Shor, Grover, VQE, QAOA, etc.). * 5\-10 years of professional experience in roles related to computing, algorithmics, or programming. * In **algorithm development and implementation.** * In **applied research projects** in business environments. **COMPETENCIES:** * Teamwork. * Creativity and innovation in applying emerging technologies. * Adaptability to work in a rapidly evolving field. * Results-oriented.
