### **Job Description** **FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The Logistics Manager is a support role for Logistics/Supply Chain, focused on administrative and coordination support for the Transportation/Storage function. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Inventory management and stock control** (Re\-)Orders materials and/or equipment as needed, registers them in relevant databases/systems, provides information on service and product supplier performance, and inspects, manages, and maintains materials, tools and/or equipment in stock to ensure optimal availability of materials/equipment for both production and delivery, as well as timely identification of bottlenecks/inefficiencies in logistics processes. Ensures physical inventory matches system records and controls all inventory movements to guarantee traceability and the reasons for such movements. Reports inventory KPIs. Ensures FEFO (First Expired, First Out) in warehouse. Minimizes product shrinkage in the warehouse. **Incoming goods and storage** Coordinates the receipt of incoming materials and/or equipment, verifies and records quantities, damages and completeness, organizes unloading and storage locations, (ensures) unloading/labeling of materials and/or equipment, and ensures items are stored in the defined location/warehouse in the correct position. Verifies completeness and visual quality conformity of delivered materials and/or equipment to have all materials and/or equipment ready for efficient distribution to internal customers. Ensures an efficient and safe warehouse layout. Maximizes utilization of warehouse resources. Ensures warehouse resource planning based on the logistics needs plan. Reports warehouse KPIs. **Outgoing goods and transport scheduling planning** Ensures goods and materials are ready for transport, including dispatch/delivery notes and accompanying documents for drivers, and arranges transportation. Supports and/or provides information for vehicle routing and scheduling based on customer records and requests, in order to fully meet customer expectations and achieve optimal vehicle routing and scheduling. Organizes transportation/trucks for delivery/transport of goods/materials to internal and external customers. Ensures necessary coordination for daily agreement on an efficient loading plan that meets cost and service objectives, as well as efficient execution and tracking of the same. Creates shipments in M3 according to the executed Loading Plan and performs and monitors their costing. Ensures transportation resource planning based on the logistics needs plan. Reports daily KPIs of the Loading Plan and transportation. Ensures basic welfare conditions for drivers visiting the plant. **Systems and Administration** Executes administrative intake and distribution of materials and/or equipment in relevant systems, time recording, and other relevant logistics administration to provide pertinent reports to stakeholders, ensuring up\-to\-date administration and visibility of material and/or equipment availability and performance as a basis for inventory maintenance and internal accounting. Ensures order handling, quotations, administration, supporting IT systems, and master data maintenance comply with the established standard (of Nutreco) to achieve high\-quality logistics processes. Sets shifts and schedules for the weighbridge, as well as necessary support for the weighbridge team. Ensures all CRM claims related to Logistics are classified, analyzed, and properly managed. Resolves Customer Service team inquiries regarding potential claims. Ensures follow\-up of incidents arising from transportation. **Continuous improvement** Monitors, measures, reports, compares, and evaluates internal and external logistics processes, tools, and systems, initiating and implementing changes and improvements to achieve continuous optimization and alignment of (work) processes, logistics tools, and systems. Ensures follow\-up of improvement plans with logistics suppliers. **Compliance** Ensures compliance with all operational, safety, quality, risk, and health regulations. Ensures a safe layout for trucks, machinery, and personnel movement within the plant.
