The research activities have been focused on the areas of materials for transport, energy, and health care and the Institute has state\-of\-the\-art facilities for processing, characterization and simulation of advanced materials. **Description** The selected candidate will be required to perform the following tasks at both technical and workshop management levels: **Technical responsibilities**: * Design and machining of tooling for material testing, cutting composite materials manually and using CNC machines, programming CNC machines, adjusting and repairing tooling and equipment. * Design and fabrication of prototypes using polymer matrix additive manufacturing techniques. * Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, protocols and instructions. * Effectively support researchers by providing technical assistance, demonstrating procedures, and collecting, preparing and/or analyzing samples. **Workshop management and organization**: * Planning of technical activities. * Physical organization and use of workshop spaces (machinery, tools, sample storage, etc.) * Purchasing of products and infrastructure required by the workshop. Contact with suppliers and purchase process management.
