Description
At KAVE HOME, we are a brand that not only designs, manufactures, and sells furniture and home décor but also drives an ambitious digital transformation to deliver an outstanding omnichannel experience.
Our international team of over 1,100 people — including a technology organization of approximately 100 professionals — works on mission-critical digital products for the business: B2C e-commerce, B2B e-commerce, physical stores, franchises, and multiple integrations with corporate systems.
We have grown rapidly and today operate within a fragmented ecosystem. We are at a pivotal moment: simplifying our architecture, refactoring capabilities, and evolving toward an enterprise-grade headless e-commerce platform that enables us to operate all our sales channels more effectively.
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to technically lead the evolution of the digital experience layer on a headless architecture. Our frontend will continue to be built with Next.js; therefore, this role will be critical in defining how new enterprise commerce capabilities integrate robustly, scalably, and efficiently into the web experience.
This role will have direct impact on the quality, performance, and maintainability of the digital channel — ensuring an excellent experience for B2C and B2B customers, physical stores, and franchisees — while helping drive key technical decisions in a strategic transformation for the company.
**Responsibilities**
* Be the technical owner of key Frontend initiatives within the e-commerce transformation, defining architecture, phases, risks, dependencies, and end-to-end quality criteria.
* Design scalable Frontend solutions on Next.js for a headless architecture, anticipating trade-offs related to performance, SEO, rendering, and operability.
* Define integration patterns with enterprise commerce APIs and services (e.g., VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or equivalent platforms), ensuring clear contracts, resilience, and a positive developer experience.
* Elevate the team’s technical level through mentoring of N1/N2 engineers and supporting architectural, performance, and quality decisions.
* Influence cross-functional decisions with product, business, UX, data, and other technical teams by providing expert judgment on impact, risk, operational cost, and sequencing.
* Lead the Frontend quality strategy: Core Web Vitals, testing, observability, tracking, and prevention of production regressions.
* We value: humility and shared success (Here to belong); technical excellence and attention to detail (Here to inspire); experimentation and continuous improvement (Here to disrupt); results orientation and reliable delivery (Here to deliver); learning and mentoring (Here to grow).
* We expect: impact beyond your own squad, comfort with ambiguity, high autonomy, sound judgment to simplify without compromising the future, and the ability to help others improve.
**Key Functions**
* Design and evolve the Next.js-based Frontend architecture — including SSR/ISR/CSR and Vercel — ensuring scalability, maintainability, and a solid foundation for a headless model.
* Define integration between the frontend and APIs for catalog, pricing, stock, checkout, promotions, identity, content, and order management.
* Lead web performance decisions and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), loading strategies, caching, images, navigation, and build times.
* Ensure technical SEO across SSR, hybrid rendering, and incremental generation scenarios, preserving organic visibility and indexing quality.
* Drive Frontend testing and quality standards: E2E tests, automated validations, quality gates, and post-deploy discipline.
* Design a reliable tracking and analytics layer together with business and data teams to accurately measure conversion, user behavior, and experimentation.
* Contribute to the evolution of the Design System and UI/UX standards — including accessibility and visual consistency — when required by the product.
* Participate in technical evaluations of platforms and partners from the Frontend perspective: fit-gap analysis, integration effort, performance impact, flexibility, and cost of change.
* Document key decisions via ADRs, design reviews, diagrams, and practical guidelines to support team scalability.
* You’ll apply and grow your expertise in: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Vercel, efficient API integration, Frontend architecture design, web performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, E2E testing, observability, analytics, technical documentation, and best practices for headless e-commerce.
**Requirements**
* Proven production experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer, leading complex development efforts and critical technical decisions for high-traffic, business-critical digital products.
* Demonstrable experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and deployments on Vercel (or similar) in real-world production environments.
* Deep understanding of API and headless architecture integration, including handling loading states, errors, caching, authentication, and data consistency in the user experience.
* Experience in e-commerce or transactional digital product environments, with sensitivity to conversion, funnel, catalog, checkout, promotions, pricing, stock, and omnichannel experience.
* Strong expertise in web performance and Core Web Vitals optimization, plus sound judgment to balance user experience, SEO, delivery velocity, and maintainability.
* Experience defining Frontend testing strategies, quality automation, observability, and incident analysis in production.
* Ability to design robust yet simple solutions, constructively challenge proposals, manage ambiguity, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience mentoring other engineering profiles and raising team standards through feedback, pairing, documentation, and technical sessions.
* Experience integrating or evolving enterprise commerce/headless platforms such as VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or equivalents is highly valued.
* Additional experience in experimentation, A/B testing, advanced analytics, Design Systems, WCAG accessibility, monorepo or micro-frontend architectures is also valued.
* You use AI tools responsibly to accelerate work — validating outputs, measuring impact, and documenting relevant decisions.
**What We Offer**
* The opportunity to technically lead a strategic transformation within an international company with a top-tier brand, product, and digital channel.
* A genuine architectural and business challenge: building the Frontend experience for an enterprise-grade headless e-commerce ecosystem across multiple channels.
* The chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — including product, backend, data, UX, and platform — in a technology-driven environment where engineering has direct business impact.
* Space to influence key decisions, drive standards, and leave a clear mark on KAVE HOME’s technological evolution.
* A unique workplace: modern, open-plan, and sustainable offices.
* Fresh fruit available every morning. Catering service + cafeteria area for lunch.
* Competitive compensation package including a flexible benefits plan (health insurance, meal card, transport card, and childcare allowance).
* Gym access with 24/7 availability.
