NURSE - RESIDENTIAL CARE CENTER (BALLESOL REUS)

We are seeking to hire a Nurse for our Ballesol Reus residential center who will ensure high-quality, personalized, and compassionate healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our residents within a humane and trustworthy environment.
**What will your mission be?**
As a nurse, you will provide personalized and continuous healthcare to residents, ensuring proper administration of treatments and clinical follow-up for each individual. Your role is pivotal within the multidisciplinary team, coordinating care services and promoting health education among professionals, residents, and families.
**Responsibilities and duties of the position**
* Monitor and record residents’ vital signs and weight, conducting clinical follow-up jointly with auxiliary staff.
* Administer medications prescribed by medical staff, coordinating preparation and distribution with healthcare or pharmacy auxiliary personnel, and supervising correct administration together with SPV (Senior Patient Volunteers) and gerocare staff.
* Apply topical treatments, perform wound dressings and nursing-specific procedures, such as venous cannulation, insertion and replacement of catheters or ostomy bags, blood glucose monitoring, and administration of subcutaneous, intravenous, or intramuscular medications.
* Identify and respond promptly to potential medical emergencies, applying established protocols and efficiently and safely mobilizing necessary resources.
* Provide health and care education to both families and center staff, encouraging best practices and healthy habits.
* Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contributing relevant information regarding residents’ clinical status.

REQUIREMENTS
* Nursing Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
* MANDATORY recognition/accreditation by the Spanish Ministry of Education for foreign qualifications.
* Registration with the corresponding Official Nursing Association and compliance with all professional association obligations.
* At least one year of prior experience in geriatric care is desirable, along with knowledge of the typical resident profile in residential care facilities.
