Backed by GCO Ventures and Byld, we are building **Maia Care**: a new startup whose mission is to help women comprehensively manage peri- and menopausal symptoms through an evidence-based, personalized digital platform. We are looking for a person to join as a **Full Stack Developer**, developing and evolving the digital product from its earliest stages alongside the CTO, contributing across the entire development lifecycle. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Develop end\-to\-end product features alongside the CTO, from technical design through to production deployment. * Develop and maintain the **back\-end**: APIs, data models, integrations, and business logic. * Contribute to the **front\-end** in Next.js when required by the product, ensuring a smooth and consistent user experience. * Rigorously apply **health data security and privacy** practices, and raise concerns immediately upon identifying any risk. * Work on AI, agent, and automation integrations as a core part of the product. * Assist in architectural evolution (cloud environment), code reviews, testing, observability, and technical debt reduction. * Help define engineering processes, best practices, and standards as the technology team grows. This role is strongly back\-end oriented, though front\-end contribution is expected when necessary. **Stack: We use Next.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, Python (Django), Google Cloud, Strapi, and MongoDB.** **Requirements** -------------- * 3\+ years of experience developing web products in production environments, with knowledge of the full development lifecycle. * Demonstrable Full Stack development experience, **with proficiency in: Python (Django or equivalent) and TypeScript.** + Experience with Next.js, React.js, JavaScript or Bun; and Nest.js, Node.js, Express or similar frameworks is valued. * Experience designing APIs and modeling databases (relational and/or NoSQL). * Daily hands\-on experience with **cloud and CI/CD**: deploying, debugging, and monitoring (GCP preferred). * Careful judgment and sensitivity regarding **sensitive data**, and comfort operating in a startup environment where not everything is yet defined. * Experience in agile environments with cross\-functional teams, where security and sound development practices are prioritized. **Especially valued** * Prior experience in healthtech, femtech, or products handling health data. * Experience building products from early stages (0\-1, MVP, or *early stage*). * Knowledge of regulatory compliance in health and privacy. * Experience integrating AI into products. **What we offer** ----------------- * The opportunity to build a product from scratch as part of the founding team, with high ownership and direct impact. * Support from Venture Builders, combining autonomy and innovation with access to resources, expertise, and the networks of GCO Ventures and Byld. * A purpose\-driven project focused on solving a real problem with social impact. * Office located in Barcelona. * Hybrid model (2 remote workdays per week).
