




The role of the area coordinator is to provide overall coordination of the activities of its Vocational Training Cycles (CF) and ensure compliance with their curricular teaching plans and evaluation by the entire teaching team. Professional families consist of teachers who deliver subjects within areas established in the curriculum pathway defined by the competent public administration in each autonomous community. The area coordinator is selected from among the teachers forming the teaching team of that area; in face-to-face modality, the selection is internal, while in online modality a formal selection process is carried out to integrate candidates into the team structure. **Teaching Plans:** * Ensure that teaching plans align with competency-based assessment and learning outcomes. * Review current regulatory frameworks. * Develop teaching plans according to the structure defined by Academic Coordination (“comprehensive planning”). * Supervise the development of classroom teaching plans, schedules, and assessment models (“classroom planning”) at the curricular level. * Define required teaching resources. * Propose teaching methodologies and strategies. * Coordinate and energize the synthesis credit / capstone project. **Content Delivery:** * Ensure compliance with the content stipulated in current regulations during instruction. * Respect academic freedom, provided it adheres to regulatory guidelines and the institution’s educational project. * Supervise virtual campus classroom content to enhance engagement and alignment (resources, activities, etc.). **Assessment:** * Collaborate with the teaching staff in designing assessment instruments and continuous assessment strategies to effectively evaluate students’ actual learning. * Monitor and review proposals and contributions during assessment committee meetings. **Teaching Staff Monitoring:** * Supervise minutes of assessment committee meetings, recording agreements reached by the teaching team as well as any emerging proposals or suggestions. * Monitor group tutoring sessions. **Masterclasses:** * Maintain awareness of masterclass content delivered to their professional family. * Collaborate with Academic Coordination to promote masterclasses across the entire teaching team. **Tutor Support:** * In the online modality, tutor support is assumed by Academic Coordination, which is specifically oriented toward student guidance, monitoring, and support. **Academic Continuity:** * Be familiar with the full academic offerings of iFP and associated universities to provide information enabling students’ academic progression. **Technical and General Maintenance of iFP Centers:** * In the online modality, Academic Coordination assumes responsibility for technical support during final evaluation exams and professional family workshops—e.g., Health Sciences. **Academic Qualifications:** * University degree related to the technological field, such as Management Information Systems Engineering and/or Systems Engineering. * Master’s Degree in Teacher Training. * Prior experience in the education sector is essential, preferably in vocational training and online education. * Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and precision. * Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to regulatory and technological changes. **Complementary Training:** * Proficiency in using virtual campuses, preferably Blackboard. * Catalan
