Job Summary: Fundació Gentis is seeking an Employment Counselor to enhance the employability and development of disadvantaged groups, supporting them throughout job search and employment retention. Continuous training and personal growth **EMPLOYMENT COUNSELOR** **For one of our services located in Girona** **Fundació Gentis** is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving **employability** and fostering **competency-based, emotional, and social development** among the most disadvantaged groups. At Gentis, we activate mechanisms to achieve **full social inclusion**, through community action, training, mentoring, mediation, family support, and psychological and therapeutic intervention. ##### **As an Employment Counselor at Gentis...** You will have the opportunity to: Conduct diagnostics and provide personalized information * Guide, motivate, and accompany individuals in their job search * Promote training and advisory processes * Support individuals facing difficulties in securing employment * Enhance their employability and facilitate both entry into and retention within the workplace ##### **What will you be responsible for?** * Welcoming participants * Promoting participants’ integration into the labor market and maintaining their employment * Mediating between supply and demand * Evaluating employability improvement pathways * Management and coordination * Cross-cutting tasks **Competency Profile** * Ability to convey module content in an understandable and meaningful way * Respect for children’s and youth’s dignity regardless of their origin or culture * Objectivity and ability to maintain optimal professional distance, establishing positive affective bonds that foster adolescents’ personal growth * Proficiency in office software and remote pedagogical resources * Ability to work individually and in groups * Empathy to better understand others * Capacity to respond immediately to unforeseen situations * Crisis and conflict management * Creativity and ability to manage available resources * Ability to work under pressure * Knowledge of Department of Labor program management tools (applications GIA, Galileu) ##### **What qualifications do you need?** Degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, or Psychopedagogy Or, alternatively, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in employment counseling Knowledge of the local area (Girona) Experience in employment counseling programs and management tools (Galileu) The staff involved in counseling and labor market prospecting must possess gender perspective training to ensure labor insertion free from sexist stereotypes and aligned with the competency-based employability model. ##### **We Offer** 1 temporary position (leave coverage 2024/2027\) **Working Hours**: 09:00–13:00 \+ 13:00–14:30 every 15 days (Mondays) **Category**: Specialized Technical Staff – **€25,518.86 gross annual salary (full-time)** **Start Date**: Immediate ##### **Join our team and enjoy unique benefits!** At Fundació Gentis, we care for our team as much as we care for the people we serve.
