DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Quality Technician to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements, guarantee the proper functioning of production processes, and contribute to the final quality of manufactured products, within a metalworking company in Tarragona.
The selected candidate will actively participate in incident management, audits, process control, continuous improvement, and technical support to manufacturing, customers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and conduct internal system, process, and product audits.
Manage and evaluate suppliers through process audits, including VDA 6\.3\.
Issue audit reports, non-conformity reports, and corrective actions.
Analyze and interpret drawings, standards, and specific customer requirements.
Provide manufacturing support for quality-related queries or incidents.
Define product and process control and verification criteria.
Monitor initial production runs and launches of new products.
Update product, process, and raw material control plans and inspection instructions.
Participate in process FMEA reviews and APQP/PAC documentation.
Verify and validate first parts, prototypes, and samples.
Manage production, customer, and supplier incidents.
Participate in root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective actions.
Collaborate on calibration, maintenance, and control of measurement equipment.
Prepare metrology reports and measurement programs.
Train internal staff on quality standards, measurement equipment, and IT tools.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, total quality, and collaborative work.

Rotating shift schedule (morning and afternoon): 6:00–14:15 and 13:45–22:00 (Monday to Friday).
Salary: 20\-24k

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Minimum education: Vocational Training Level II or Higher Vocational Training Cycle.
Additional training in quality management systems, auditing, statistics, Core Tools, calibration, customer specifications, quality standards, and drawing interpretation.
Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions.
Knowledge of VDA 6\.3 and VDA 6\.5 audits.
Knowledge of Core Tools, APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and control plans.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
Knowledge of metrology, measurement equipment, and calibration.
Desirable experience with statistical tools such as Minitab or Six Sigma.
Proficiency in office software.
English level B1\.
