DESCRIPTION Our client is a national and international industrial group specializing in food packaging. They need to incorporate, at their plant in the Vallès Occidental region, a: EXTRUSION MANAGER (POLYETHYLENE) We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in managing and supervising plastic (polyethylene) extrusion processes. Responsibilities: * Supervision of the extrusion process: Ensure machines operate correctly and that temperature, pressure, and speed parameters are adjusted according to specifications. * Quality control: Monitor and ensure products meet established standards, identifying defects and anomalies (e.g., wrinkles, snake skin effect, flash, thickness and/or width variations, etc.). * Preventive and corrective maintenance: Coordinate or carry out periodic machinery inspections together with the maintenance team and maintenance supervisor to avoid unexpected downtime. * Production optimization: Identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, and increase productivity. * Lead the extrusion team: ongoing training of all staff, scheduling, resource planning, forecasting of staffing increases and reductions, etc. REQUIREMENTS * Strong academic background (Higher Vocational Training Cycle or Technical Engineering degree) * Extensive experience as an Extrusion Manager (polyethylene) * Candidate accustomed to working on the shop floor and coordinating teams (will manage a team of 20 people) * High level of personal commitment * Problem-solving ability * Strong communication skills
