Quality Control Technician

As a personnel recruitment consultant, we are seeking a **Quality Technician** specialized in providing technical support to marketing and production companies in the fruit and vegetable sector for one of our clients. **Responsibilities and Functions** --------------------------------- * Perform quality controls and inspections on fruit and vegetable products in accordance with current regulations and client specifications. * Verify on-site, both in fields and handling facilities, compliance with quality protocols and requirements. * Maintain direct communication and provide periodic reports to clients, suppliers, and team leaders. * Participate in organizing routes and visits through daily videoconferences to plan efficient and coordinated work. * Collect information on trends and variables that may affect quality: seasonality, adverse weather conditions, etc. * Record all incidents and inspections performed using mobile applications (client app) and state-of-the-art devices. * Conduct process controls and internal audits at supplier sites according to technical capabilities. ### **Requirements** * University or vocational training in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields to the fruit and vegetable sector. * Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control positions within agri-food companies is desirable. * Knowledge of quality regulations and certifications such as IFS, BRC, Global Gap, as well as understanding of product specifications and tolerances based on destination. * Advanced proficiency in Office Suite, email, video calls, and mobile applications. * Proactivity, autonomy, and ability for itinerant or mobile work. * Availability for frequent travel within the province and occasionally to neighboring provinces. * Valid class B driver's license. #### **Working Conditions and Benefits** * Contract type: Initial 6 months + conversion to permanent contract. * Salary commensurate with experience, value, and contribution to the role. * Company vehicle and additional expenses/meals covered by the organization. * 40-hour weekly working schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00/7:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, adjusted according to seasonal campaigns and sector needs. You will become part of a team visiting suppliers (handling facilities) and producers (fields) in the fruit and vegetable sector to ensure excellence in origin quality, directly collaborating with leading companies distributing to European supermarkets.
