At Kairós, you’ll find projects enabling remote work — without losing closeness with the rest of the team! **What We’re Looking For** At **Kairós**, we seek a **QA Automation Engineer** with solid test automation experience, oriented toward software quality and continuous improvement of testing processes. The candidate will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and distributed systems. This person will join our Tech discipline, led by **Carlos Cañado and Reinaldo Aguilera**. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks. * Automate functional and regression tests using Cypress and JavaScript. * Automate REST and SOA API tests using Rest Assured and/or Java. * Maintain and evolve existing REST service testing frameworks. * Design and execute tests for queue-based systems (e.g., Kafka). * Participate in automating and validating messaging flows with Kafka. * Execute and analyze performance tests (ideal). * Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure quality from early stages. * Report and track defects, proposing improvements to quality processes. **Requirements** * Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer. * Solid knowledge of JavaScript. * Experience with Cypress as an automation framework. * Experience automating REST APIs using Rest Assured and/or Java. * Knowledge of REST and SOA architectures. * Experience working with Apache Kafka (queues, topics, producers/consumers). * Knowledge of test automation for event-driven/messaging-based systems. * Experience in performance testing (desirable). * Strong understanding of testing processes and the software development lifecycle. **Desirable** * Experience with performance tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, or others). * Experience with CI/CD. * Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments. * Good version control practices (Git).
